Who is behind the White Bear Watchdog?

White Bear Lake has a cancerous website full of hate, revile, envy, etc. What would motivate a group of individuals to tear down a great community while others are trying to build it up?

Who are these low-lives who wrote these despicable, vile & disgusting articles in the White Bear Watchdog? Why do these sick people hide behind the cloak of anonymity?

This White Bear resident wants to know.

When he was young most kids picked on him and he was never asked to join in with others.

He was an underachiever in school; did poorly in High School and flunked out of the "U." His IQ is well below average.

He has few friends but loves to suck up to people he views as powerful.

He sees himself as a successful businessman but has no skill or net worth and lives in his dad's house. No one is fooled but him.

He wasted four years on the WBL City Council before the voters handed him his hat in favor of a political unknown. While on the city council he accomplished nothing and blames other for his failure.

He dwells in the shadows with other losers while venting his frustrations through anonymous attacks on people he blames for his pathetic failures.

He is a sociopath and lies so much he can no longer understand the truth.

Don't Read it. You like to read it just like when there is car crash you can't help to just take a peep then crab about the traffic jam.

News blogs are protected exactly like any newspaper.

There is nothing that can be done. There has never been case in court that has been heard that can force someone to reveal his or her name.

Unless, its patently illegal.

I received an email from a long term WBL resident who has the same thoughts as your thoughts on the "who". They sent an article on Narcissism by Dr. Sam Vaknin (see:

It defines Narcissism as:

Pathological narcissism is a life-long pattern of traits and behaviours which signify infatuation and obsession with one's self to the exclusion of all others and the egotistic and ruthless pursuit of one's gratification, dominance and ambition.

The onset of pathological narcissism is in infancy, childhood and early adolescence. It is commonly attributed to childhood abuse and trauma inflicted by parents, authority figures, or even peers.

Here is the bad news about this deep rooted psychological disease:

Treatment and Prognosis

The common treatment for patients with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is talk therapy (mainly psychodynamic psychotherapy or cognitive-behavioural treatment modalities). Talk therapy is used to modify the narcissist's antisocial, interpersonally exploitative, and dysfunctional behaviors, often with some success. Medication is prescribed to control and ameliorate attendant conditions such as mood disorders or obsessive-compulsive disorders.

The prognosis for an adult suffering from the Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is poor, though his adaptation to life and to others can improve with treatment.

I would like to respond to Robocop. Freedom of speech is a privilege not a means to take pot shots at defenseless people. Running off at the mouth shows ignorance and insecurity as well as poor tact—and I’m being kind here! News blogs are protected, but not reliable. Since this author is unknown, none of it can be quoted as truth in any other media venue. Why, because it is biased bigotry. A newspaper of any integrity would never quote something when there is no name attached to it—if they did they would look pretty foolish and lose all credibility. The watchdog is a crude form of editorializing, not investigative journalism. It has no constructive merit or serves for any public benefit. White Bear Lake deserves better… Oh there is plenty that can be done…read your Bible and learn to love and forgive your enemies! Matt. 5:43-48

The White Bear Press and Vadnais Heights Press confirmed your comments in their August 5, 2009 issues (end of “About the Town” by Gene Johnson). While Tony Feffer "denies being connected" to the WBLWatchdog site yet he goes on to say "there is a group of 24 contributing to the site" and "he consults with them but would not name them".

Tony Feffer must be ethically challenged if he knows who is connected to the website, consults with them yet is not involved. Like President Clinton (".... what your definition of 'is' is.....")I guess it comes down to what your definition of "involved" is.
