As under rated as he was I would have to say Jackie "Jackrabbit" Watson. He did not get the publicity some of the others got, but you could put him at any position on the field and get a great game. Absolutely the best all around.

Others that come to mind, Ricky Counts, Jad Deaton, Darrin Little, Chippi Branham, Kenny Armour, Sonny Phillips, Major "Red Hall", Cecil "Gomer" Thornsbury, the great Larry Rowe, Billy Earl Blair, Claude Conway. Apologies to those whom I have left out.

Daryl Branham was very good and I "no" (maybe know) football and English (idiot). Robbie was adequate, but should have been a receiver, with Jackrabbit at QB, he would have been much better. JP did not like to get hit but snapped out of that during the John's Creek game his Senior year, but was only real good for a short period of time. Dwight was much like Robbie, adequate. The thread did say South Floyd, my bad.

Hawk Slone was definitly one of the greats. He and a guy from P-Burg tied for yards in rushing and touch downs until a player from Pikeville took his knee out. May he rest in peace I miss you man. Justin Ray was also a great player/quarter back. Adam Gearheart was a killer player too. RIP Hawk and Adam.

Lets go by postion...

QB-Nick Compton
RB-Ketron Mays/BJ Bryant SF was blessed with two great rushers back to back
WR-Justin Holbrook
TE- Aaron Hall
OL-Andre Faine
DL-Dustin Hall
LB-Jarrod Compton
DB-William Willard

Overall-Nick Compton

Without Nick the 98 season doesn't happen. SF will never see another QB that can throw the ball as pretty as Nick did.

I do agree about the some of these

QB-Nick Compton
RB- Brandon Little,Ketron Mays/BJ Bryant
WR-Justin Holbrook
TE- Jarrod Johnson
OL-Andre Faine
DL-Jody Hall, Jarrod Johnson
LB-Jarrod Compton, Johnathan Paige, Andy Moore

I think the best player to ever come out of South Floyd was Brandon Little and if he would have went to college he could have been great he could run around you or just run over top of you this kid was a brute and could run no other player at South Floyd had what he had combined.

#1 BJ Bryant was the Best back SF ever had, He had a bad knee and could still make you look stupid. He could cut or run over you and had great breakaway speed.

#2 Ketron
#3 Brandon,

As far was Wheelwright and the most talented back to put on pads was Dave Hall, he had speed size and skill. I dont think anyone else from here ever got scholarship offers from from SEC schools. TO bad he couldnt make the grades

well actually last I checked Jeremy t held the sfhs record for the longest TD run and I'd say he's one that deserves a spot on that list also .he was a playing machine that never gave up regardless of what happened in the game. pretty quick too.

Not true unless BJ was tackled at the the 1...check KHSAA state records. BJ had a 98 yard run.

Also, if you are going to go off of one run how about just going off of one game. Ketrin had 403 yards against Elkhorn City in 97.
