West Virginia always receives and deserves low marks in every measurable category. Anyone surprised here?

Know what's wrong with Appalachia? Its full of Appalachians.

If you don't like it here there are 49 other states that we would all be happy for you to move to. if you already live in one and you dislike Appalachians so much then view your local topix and leave us alone.

I was born and raised here, spent a lot of my life in WV. I feel I've earned the right to criticize it. The Appalachian comment was mostly in jest and was a hacked quote from Braveheart that was originally about Scotland.

Joke or not though, WV finishes near the bottom of every category that there is a metric to measure by. Why do you think that is? Other states ganging up on WV with a slander job? Nah, its mostly because a lot of the people here are either ignorant or stupid and proud of it.

West Virginia Lottery? That's getting your lifetime disability "crazy" check isn't it? It seems like few here aspire to anything better and those that do leave the state more often than not. Not all people are like this here. I have some good friends and my family(mixed bag there) still mostly live here. Don't worry though, just as soon as my career plays out in one of a few scenarios, I'll be burning rubber out of here.

The good vs. bad here just slants to far to one side.
