Good, frickin idiot, let him go break some rocks. As we lock up more muslims, they'll be next demanding this, that. Ridiculous to spend extra money on these POS.

Don't you think that Muslims would be imclined to want *halal* meals, and not kosher meals?

Of course, the point is they want "special accomodations" all the time, demanding foot baths, prayer rooms, korans that no infidel has touched, etc, etc, etc.

In the Quaran, Muhammad supposedly said that when proper muslim foods are not available, the food of the "people of the book" is a proper substitute. I guess is one of the perks of being a muslim, you can pray for the destruction of the Jews, but still eat their food. This is in no way an anti semitic remark, I am just pointing out something I had heard years ago and then adding my opinion.

I guess the warden decided the kosher meals were not necessary after the inmate was caught buying BBQ pork rinds at the prison store.

The point that Workaday was making and which you so obviously missed is that kosher is a Jewish term not a Muslim one. And considering that the inmate's name is Philip Berryman I would venture to speculate that the man was claiming to be of the Jewish religion rather than the Muslim religion.

In any case he was caught buying non-kosher snacks which indicated that he wasn't as devout as he claimed and therefore could do without the kosher foods which are more expensive.

Sarah, once again you missed the point. The post to which you refer did indirectly say that Muslims would wish to have kosher meals and he was corrected. His point was that they would wish to have preferential treatment. He was correct. The guy didn't miss the point that kosher is a jewish term, you and the other guy were taking him too literal when you actually understood his point. You have a higher than is warranted opinion of yourself.
