sounds like you've got a problem there cristina. i've been in a situation like that before (besides the drunk part) and i no what it feels like. I'm pretty young and am always worried i'll never get a boyfriend but all you need to know is that you are beautiful whether its on the inside, outside, or both, and you can do anything! i know it can be quite nervewracking to talk to guys (trust me i know) but they are probably just as nervous as you are and they are only human even tho it doesnt seem like it sometimes :) Next time you run into him, just smile and say "Hi, how are you?" I mean you cant get any more friendly than that. And if you are feeling really confident, just go up and talk to him! Guys like confidence but it'll show through if you are nervous talking to him...just take a deep breath :) Eventually after talking to him a few times, maybe invite him and one of his friends, and then one of your friends to come along to get ice cream or a coffee sometime...double dates are always better when you are getting to know someone(plus with a friend around for you and one for him, it wont be as tense). Then later you can have some one-on-one time to talk about how fun the date was and maybe make plans for another.

Try talking to him, if that doesnt work then try to hang out with him, and spend the most time you can with him..its like the only way..sometimes boys can be sooooooo confusing but we girls have to learn how to handle it. soo just try that..:)

I see you have a problem in your hands there, the best way to fix this type of problem is to tell him the truth, i mean if you guys ever go out or something he probably wants a honest girl, but then you try to figure out: who do you like josh? or Bernade? its all up to you...

This is probably one of the easiest ones to deal with, just because your a girl doesnt need that you cant ask a boy out. Go ahead and ask him out, if you still dont wanna ask him out then hint him. try smiling at him but not a lot cause then the boy gets annoyed, try making expressions that are clean and not to obvoius to him..boys are smart enough to figure that out. make sure if he ever like talks to you or something dont be completely non-chalant. got it?? hope that helped :)

I have a boy problem. It's not a "boyfriend" problem, just a boy problem.

See, I have this really good guy friend, Jeremy*, who I care about like I'd care about my own brother. He's really nice and I can tell him anything.

But, he's always putting himself down. Like, last year he was a supporting role in my school's fall play and he did really really well. Yet, when the musical rolled along he didn't get a very big part. He started talking about how he sucked at acting and he can't sing (he is not the best singer I know, but he IS good). Try as I might he wouldn't listen when I said he was talented.

Then this year, he got an understudy in the fall play. He told me he doesn't feel like part of the cast and he "wants to die inside". Now, I didn't even make the fall play AT ALL, so 1. I think he's being silly and 2. I always worry about him when he gets like this. He's not gonna kill himself or anything stupid like that, but his confidence is really low and I don't know what to do.

I always tell him how great he is, but he doesn't respond to it. I'm really worried about him and I think I might cry if I hear one more thing about how he thinks he's a terrible actor. I really might. He just can't see how talented he is AT ALL.
