I have attended the Wheaton clinic since March, 2012 and I must say, the program has provide a great source of relief from back pain and soreness. The program works! I can finally do get out of my house and do all the fun activities that I once did!
Don't wait! Get into the Illinois Back Institute right away! Get your life back!

That comment above was obviously written by management. This place is a joke. I work for a major healthcare system and I can't believe these folks can stay in business. They are dishonest from the beginning and are only interested in depleting your insurance benefits. I went in for treatment and thank goodness I have enough common sense to realize something wasn't right. They wanted me there for 36 weeks! I went to a reputable treatment facility (Athletico) and in a matter of 2 weeks I'm feeling better. Of course I am continuing my exercising and stretching on a daily basis, but illinois back out right told me a minimum of 36 weeks until I would feel any better. Con artists and a greedy bunch.

Everything "Richard" said is absolutely true. I too work for a major healthcare corporation and it's unbelievable what these folks have gotten away with. I'm a past employee and not disgruntled in any way shape or form. It bothers me that there are people like the owners of IBI that have to conscious at all and continue to prey on people in pain. Mainly the elderly. I would recommend Atletico one hundred times over.

I had been going to the back institute since around September of 2015. The staff that works on the therapy floor is great. They're all very kind and will do their best to help you feel better. However, I am extremely displeased with the billing department and office staff. I was told that my insurance covers 100% of the expenses, so I started treatment right away. Then I was told that my insurance only covers 80%. Disorganization at its finest. I was told that due to this confusion the extra charges would be dropped and I could just start paying the 20% as of that day. A couple weeks later, I received a huge bill and the office manager denied ever telling me that she'd write off the 20%. My mom even remembered her telling us that she'd write off the money. Was that just something to say so I could continue treatment without any fuss? As the new year began (2016) I changed my insurance so I sent IBI my new card information. I was told by the office manager that IBI is not networked with my insurance (Aetna). My mom spoke to a representative from the corporate office, Kim, who told us that YES, Aetna IS networked with IBI. Once again, there is obviously a major disorganization problem at this office. THEN, I was told by Danielle, the office manager, that since my insurance does not offer physical therapy benefits I had to pay out of pocket. I knew for a fact that my insurance covered unlimited physical therapy, so I just feel like this entire place is a scam now. I'm only 19 so I was always one of the youngest receiving treatment on the therapy floor. Now I feel like the billing department at IBI tried to take advantage of me because I am so young. My mom started calling the office manager and representatives from corporate who could help us resolve these billing issues. Getting in contact with them has been difficult and they never even return our calls when they say they will! Like I said, the staff that works on the therapy floor is wonderful. But dealing with people from the billing department and office (Danielle, Jade, Kim) has led me to take my business elsewhere where I feel like I won't be taken advantage of. It seems like all they care about at this place is $$$$....

I have the same bad experience with office staff @ Wheaton IBI.I went their for 1st free-consultation without my Insurance Card but i have showed to my insurance details from BCBS site.But they did not accept to allow me to meet Dr even though they didn't inform me to carry the card.
They suggested me to pay in cash,but i opposed and asked them it's a free consultation where is these cash payments,etc..

Wish, IBI management wont repeat such a bad experience to other new patients too :)
