Why? At age 18 I had to quit a job that I enjoyed because my employer could not afford to get health ins. for me and my newborn child (small shop). Why do people cater to these people when I've had to fight and struggle to not even break even and to obtain health ins. Certainly there was no help for my ancestors that came here, ecspesially med. coverage. My health ins. is now out of this world, co-pays continue to go up,and an unfotunate trip to the E.R. copay will break the bank. Big thumbs down to the people who cater. This is a major epidemic in our U.S.A. that is not getting better. It's like putting food in a bowl for a stray cat,you know it's not leaving.Check crime stats that "migrant workers" bring along. It is an undeniable fact. Boo for Holyoke Health center and also the people who employ these "migrant workers". Your contribution to the decline of America is not appriciated.

What do you expect in the Democrat land of Massachusetts?

If you think you've been "raped" now, just wait for the Messiah to be elected.

I live here where this program is in effect, and I think it's great. I notice others posting about how they don't get treated this well, and are apparently jealous. My suggestion to them is that they need to bring a little equal rights and justice to their own towns, as we here in Western Massachusetts are doing to ours.

HEY, BOB, SINCE YOU ARE SO MUCH IN FAVOR OF THIS PROGRAM, WHY NOT BRING THEM ONTO YOUR HOME? YOU CAN SUPPORT THEM.

Opening our towns and catering to immigrants from third world countries,I think not. Third world immigrants bring third world conditions, such as crime, drugs, poverty and disease.Stop being sheep and research the truths for yourselfs as to why we have rights and freedoms for us. Not them. Your ancestors would roll in their graves if they new that you were going to give up what they fought, struggled and died for.

Sorry about you and your ancestors, but this isn't about any of them. This is about people who are a lot worse off than you, who can't catch a break. I'm thrilled they can get at least a little of the American dream, here.

Your saracasm is unbecoming. I don't have to bring them into my home. A tiny fraction of my local taxes gives them a little bit of help they sorely need. Maybe you should love your neighbor a little more.

Are you an American Indian? If so, I respect your comment. If not, please think about your own ancestors, who you think would "roll in their graves." Where did they come from? How did they get here? Where would you be today if the people in the USA were as narrow-minded as you are when they came here? Would you be speaking English?

They're not jealous Bob, they are pissed off. They are pissed of because they are tax paying citizens who are funding this program yet themselves are ineligible.

These people do NOT, Bob, do NOT want anything to do with the American dream. Friends I went to HS with in Boston area had immigrant parents who insisted that they do well in school and LEARN ENGLISH. They didn't send money back to their home countries like the odd BILLION per month that goes to Mexico and El Salvador now.

Bob, if I saw someone move into my neighbor's house rent free and eat all their food without paying for it (etc. etc.) I'd help them out by helping them kick the F'ers out!

Mind came from Eastern Europe at the turn of the last century Bob. They learned ENGLISH, they paid TAXES, they had SPONSORS -- today is NOTHING like it was back then and that's the problem

Bob, I know your type because I went to UMASS and lived in NoHo for a year and have a soft spot in my heart for the area. One of your problems (as I'm sure there is a milieu since you are apparently a liberal) is that you are naive. You cannot sit there in your little Western MA La La Land and even PRETEND to know what you are talking about. Try living down here in the DC area for a little while, in certain areas of MD or NoVA... you'd be singing a different tune pretty quick about them supposedly coming over here for the "American Dream"

You are a schmuck

They came in ships that they designed and built,in Europe. And I would'nt call it "narrow minded" I would say leaning more towards what the European people colonized and settled for. I'm not going to waste much time on you,it's obvious you let other people make up your mind.

Yea, I'm not big on hand outs. I would rather make it for myself, but I'm thinking that may be an obvious differance between me and the illigal "Immagrants".Don't get me wrong,I don't speak of they're work ethics but rather they're anxiousness to put out an open hand and expect somthing.

it bad enough that obama wants to give every immagrants a licenses and not only that health care which us tax payers have to pay for, and they also will be able to get social security, i think that anyone who come to the us has to first prove themselves first buy working and putting into the system that we provide maby for a few years or so, if they dont SEND THEM BACK

not picking on them but do you think that someone who comes into are county should first get a license, with health care and which will intitle them to social security, which we have to pay for, no you can give that to them but i think that they need to show that they want to work and put into the system, why do you think they should get this for free without putting anything into it at first? we already have so many of us here in the us that dont have that now. If america is broke now, how can we provide this for all. why should people who pay taxes now have to pay more for this???? why not give it to the people already here, or give it to schools, or give it to elderly ect. we have enough to do now here in america, IF AMERICA WANTS TO BE MORE INDEPENDENT, THEN LETS TAKE CARE OF EVERYONE HERE FIRST!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed. You ever notice how you have folks sitting around collecting welfare while at the same exact time you have employers, like farmers in this case, pulling in people from other countries because they need the labor? What's wrong with this picture !? The able-bodied on welfare should be cut off immediately and instead be given a list of jobs in their area. If there are no jobs in their area, I don't have a problem with them working for the city or state doing sorely needed infrastructure work. This would have the added benefit of stopping the incentive for migrants and/or illegals from coming here in the first place as they'd have no jobs available to them. The beauty of that, which nobody ever thinks about, is that then third world countries are forced to make needed changes instead of shipping their poor into our country for us to take care of them. You stop enabling poor or irresponsible behavior by these third world corrupt POS countries.

What we need is a BIG does of common sense in this country. Unfortunately, Obama is still way ahead in the polls though.
