Haven't we had enough "Reality" shows? Even about a subject that's near and dear to my heart.

She a widow who is facing the theft of almost all her belongings by a bigoted state government. I can;t blame her for trying to cash in on her notoriety. She needs something to keep from descending into the depths of poverty that so many trans people, trans women in particular, have been pushed to.

Yes, You and she are correct! I'd probably do the same thing if I were in her shoes. It's just that we've had a whole gumzillion of these so called "Reality" shows with cameras following someone around while they perform their little daily tasks. Enough already! Good luck to her but I'mm afraid that reality shows involving Transexuals are largely ignored. I recall when Dr Marci Bowers had one and it was cancelled after one or two shows. Too Bad! That kind of publicity is just what we need. But if the show doesn't get the ratings watchagonado.

one of my questions is,,, Where is the LGB community support in this? Are they silent on this issue?

perhaps marriage of two people of the same chromosomal makeup is not a issue to the LGB community?

Perhaps Transsexual medical issues override LGB issues when it comes to transsexual marriage and texas will make allowances?

Seems I remember a case a few years back here in Ga which a lesbian trans woman was refused a marriage license at first, but was resolved without going to court.

I think the cis LGB community is largely absent from this battle because it doesn't concern them. It's about a trans woman's access to heterosexual marriage and has nothing to do with same sex marriage rights. They figure if same sex marriage were a reality then this issue would never have come up in the first place.

In other words, they apparently don't care about this.

I think you're right on the money with this. Fortunately, we don't need Gay activism to survive. As far a I know, Gay ativism never did anything for us. It was "Trans" people who accomplished everything on their own. People like Sylvia Rivera, or Phyllis R. Frye, Lynn Conway, Donna Rose, and Zoe Brain and every TS, whose just had enough BS to put on a dress and go out in public even though her makeup might not be just right. People Like Emelye Waldherr, who write on Topix and other publications every day, giving our side of the story against the haters and detractors. Just being there and not being afraid accomplishes an awful lot. I see where Conn. just voted in Trans rights. I wonder just how much credit HRC will take for it? I also wonder how much they really did?
