After 30 years, killer hopes for freedom

Daniel Mathis has wrinkles, thick brown glasses and a life sentence. The 76-year-old said he has diabetes and other ailments; he can walk only short distances and spends most of his time in a wheelchair.

Why would you let a seventy six year old man out of prison to fend for himself? How much is his social security check from not working all his life. This news paper makes it sound like the state is doing him a wonderful favor.

That's because our newspaper is a liberal rag. More practically, he is probably costing the prison system alot of money in a medical unit bed with all those ailments and they figure it's time to kick him out.
