Is that like the once nice town of Rockville? Or maybe it's like Ashford. Now THERE's a nice town for you.

You know the town is toast when you see a check cashing store show up on Main Street.

I was nowhere near the place during the party, but I figured it was gang related. The address sorta' gave it away.

maybe manchester should hire perez and use his tatic of negotiating with the gangs to find out whats upsetting them and adding more programs to appease them.

or maybe they should send the future thugs of america to a work camp somewhere where they won't have so much time on their hands.

when did it become the police forces job to entertain, or basbysit these jerks, at taxpayer expense, another drain on the economy by lowlifes that snuck out of hartford

what is wrong with the name, "LaToya"? my name is LaToya and i am a 30something African American young lady with a husband, three kids and a senior underwriter at a large insurance company in downtown Hartford for over 10yrs now. Latifah and LaToya or both beautiful names! why don't you take the time out and look up the meanings for BOTH names, you would be surprise. and when you do, check me later on it!

The filth has taken over that once beautiful town all the help by the greedy section 8 slum lords and the states sharing trash has caused this. If they started tearing down those ghettos the scum would be forced back where they belong, Hartford

It was a lovely town until the first "low rent" housing. It used to be the north end was where the trouble makers lived, but the town made a decision to level that part of town and move them around, then in the late 60's the big complex started with it's low rent, low rent attracts low life forms, sad but true. No one could stand letting Manchester be what it was, they had to integrate the town so here is the results so all the nattering nabobs were 100% accurate, it's a town with fear in it

McNally.... had brain surgery a month ago, and is back hanging with the same crowd. His parents need to control him and get him on the right track; I know him and he used to be a good kid. Shame on them.

I guess I have to keep working overtime to send my son to private school - Verplank is in the Squire Village District; are you kidding me? I would never send my child to the same school with gang-saavy kids... hell no....
Verplanck used to be a nice school.
Shame on those mothers raising their kids to be lowlifes, uneducated bums. They are just making it harder for those who care about their kids.
Dumb beotches.

What a great town I live in.

I volunteer with a local Boy Scout Troop. The stories the kids tell us about what goes on in the schools are frightening. And they have been going on for years.

It's obvious that the men ARE NOT INVOLVED and you can't make a man be a father.. IT IS THE women's responsibility - they are the one's getting the state checks.. The men have moved on to their next baby's mama... Do I agree that it should only be the mother's responsibility? NO. THE MEN ARE NOT AROUND... AND OUR SOCIEY ALLOWS THEM TO MAKE A BABY AND LEAVE. SO YES, IT'S THE WOMEN'S RESPONSIBILITY. IT'S HARD, IT'S ALOT OF SACRIFICE AND HARD WORK. I'M DOING IT ALONE, AND YES, IT'S MY RESPONSIBILITY... SOLEY MINE. AND GOD BLESSES ME AND GIVES ME STRENGTH TO RAISE THESE CHILDREN BY MYSELF - I own a house and drive a bmw... MEN ARE NOT HELD ACCOUNTABLE; YOU DIDN'T KNOW WE LIVE IN A MAN'S WORLD? YOU CAN'T DEPEND ON A MAN... YOU CAN ONLY DEPEND ON YOURSELF AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR DAMN KIDS!!!!

When he got the S@@@ kicked out of him for running his mouth at MHS a few months ago, didn't some of the people interviewed say McNally was a good kid?

Hmmm....If participating in a large "pack of roaming youths" ie: gang fight is an activity a good kid would take part in, I'd hate to see what these people call a bad kid would do.

These kids and this McNally clown especially sound like complete idiots. I'm all about personal responsibility regardless of whether the mother knows who your father is or not. These kids are all plenty old enough and well aware that getting involved in a "15-50" person brawl is wrong. My dad wasn't around much either but I never decided to join a gang - sorry Chief, I meant "pack of roaming youths."

Yes, the parents/parent share blame, however why not hold these kids equally responsible? Maybe being tried as an adult and placed in gen pop at Somers, where real gangs roam, will wake these kids up.

Also:

"Anyone Can Get it" or "ACG" is the most ridiculous gang name I've ever heard.....

Get What? The Clap from a hood rat? A present from Big Bubba in the can? A tazing by MPD? You live in Manchester guys and gals, not Compton.

hah, sounds like you have a police scanner like me. The fun part is that the courant only picks up about a 1/10th of the crime worth mentioning. The squire appts have always been like this, so nothing new, but the dangerous part is that all these "kids" are on a dangerous path to become the serious thugs of tomorrow. Thank god squire is accross town where few people live, but too bad it is an otherwise quiet part of town.

I also like how the courant isnt reporting any hartford crime, but is reporting tons of suburban crime all of a sudden. Dont think we didnt notice! We need our Hartford bloodshed fix!

Man, instead of sitting on here talkin $#!t, why dont yall help? stop complaining and do something about it, everybody always want to point at the lil bad @$$ kids. that's part of the reason why these kids are the way they are now, yall always putting us down ad not trying to help us. Even though individuality is highly expressed to the kids, regardless we are protege's of the adults we see, not just our parents, but everybody. I aint saying that I'm this way, the kid is going to college in WV, get it straight, but why dont yall get your own act together before you judge someone else. Cuz nobody is perfect and adults should damn well know that by now

I remember when my family moved to quiet manchester over 10 yrs ago to be near my grand parents. It was a nice town. Its really disturbing to see such people carry on as they once did in hartford. They have a chance to be away from the crime areas and be in a better community - not recreate it here.
