In this state, you're liable to do more time than the crook would have if you use deadly force to protect your home.

Wanna save some money, State of Connecticut? Revisit our criminal codes and let's reconsider what we're sending people to prison for. If we can clear out some cells and some dockets for REAL criminals like these masked marauders, there's a lot of savings to be had. In harder times, State programs will HAVE to be cut, whether you like it or not, so let's loosen certain things up a bit, and let people defend their property with deadly force. Likewise, I could care less if you lock up people who buy and sell adult sex on Craigslist, or people who use drugs discreetly... for DUI people, just take their licenses away but no jail time, fine the hell out of them if they continue to drive, and jail them if they fail to pay fines.

And put truly violent criminals in prisons with greatly-reduced amenities. If they're locked behind 3 ft of concrete in solitary 24 hours a day and feed them through a slit in the wall, how many guards would you really need per cell block? If someone's gotta go without and lose their rights in this fiscal crisis, who better than criminals?

Yet more proof that robbery needs to be made a capital felony punishable by death.

Time in Prison after the crime has taken place is a little too late for the Victims. Loosen Gun Laws for Homeowners.

Find them and pistol whip them. Scumbags need to be made an example of. Hurt them.

I agree. If you break into my house, you will be met with either my pit bull or my shotgun. Hopefully I get to you first. These scumbags or their families should have no recourse if they are killed, by the homeowner, commiting the felony. They knew going in what they were doing. Pay the price to be a scumbag dreg of society.

Oh yeah, right CT did not pass a home invasion law with teet in it. These scum do not care about the risk because if they get caught they know nothing will happen. Act of war, CT residents. Buy the biggest gun you can afford. Your wussy politiicans could care less about you. Do not believe ANYTHING these pandering liars say. Three strikes and away for life should be the law of the land in CT. If not, take matters into your own hands. Liberals are ruining this fine state. If yu think this type of behavior will get bettter you wrong. Your idiots keep voting the wussy Democrats, anti gun (unless you a crimnal) politicians.

Which is why I feel that they need to start giving out more severe punishments, and stop letting the scums go with just a slap on the wrist.

I agree, It stinks that you can get sued by the family if you kill the home invaders! Thank a Liberal Lawyer for that!

I agree! The house & the items inside of it belong to the homeowner, not the thug breaking into the house. If anyone ever broke in on me, and I had the means to hurt or kill the person, then I would do it!

It's a sad world we live in, when scumbag criminals have more rights than the victims.

Oh it looks like Betty Cracker will have to come up with yet another law!
Why should criminals care about the laws - police can't be everywhere and when caugt some of these criminals will be treated to e better life than what they have right now at taxpayers' expense!
Get ready for more brazen criminals under the Obama administration!

That's right, once we have the new laws passed it will get much worse. Not only will there be an African-American in the White House, soon there will be one in your house too and he won't be coming for dinner!
