The economic growth in Dubai has generated a need for truck drivers, amongst other things. Maybe Obama can arrange jobs for you liberal deadbeats over there.

Barham Salih hardly sounds like an impartial source.
Yes, perhaps Hussein killed 1/2 million to 1 million Iraqis.
The U.S. attack and occupation directly or indirectly contributed to an equal number of fatalities. Many Iraqis fled to Syria, because conditions under the Coalition were so terrible. Adding to the misery was the often brutal treatment meted out to Iraqi prisoners suspected of insurgent activity, often people who were rounded up in random dragnets.
The situation in Iraq today is still considered nightmarish. Paramilitary units created by the military and CIA and now employed as "security forces" for the U.S.-created regime continue to brutalize the population. To some extent, it's like Hussein never left.
As for your charge that Democrats wanted Hussein removed, that was back in 1998 when the U.N. inspectors made it known they had doubts on Iraqi compliance. The Clinton economic sanctions successfully forced Hussein to buckle under. The Bush administration then falsely presented the case four years later that Iraq had reneged once again. But as we all know, no WMDs were found.
There is no need to "re-examine" Bush and Cheney's war by lies. It was launched under a false pretext and prosecuted in brutal fashion as demonstrated by Abu Ghraib and numerous incidents involving Blackwater security.
So go rewrite your pro-GOP history somewhere else.

The Willful Blindness of Bush Loyalists
....Even if the overall Bush record weren’t so poor, one of the GOP’s problems is that no one outside their party perceives it that way. However, the main problem is that the record really was that poor and many Republicans refuse to accept that. After all, admitting that Bush’s presidency was a disastrous one is to admit that they supported the disaster, and that’s not something that anyone likes admitting....
the Left has it right.

The Iraq war was a product of excessive fear and fear-mongering. Its architects may have had delusional, optimistic schemes for regional democratic transformation, but a lot of its supporters backed the invasion because their government had terrified them with the prospect of nuclear terrorist attacks that might follow if there were no war.
....Despite living in an unusually secure and powerful country, Americans are just as susceptible as any other nation to the demagoguery of politicians that exaggerate and invent foreign threats. It may be that our secure position in the world has spoiled us. When an attack does occur, there is a tendency to overreact because suffering foreign attacks has been so unusual in our history. Oddly enough, we are accustomed to being very secure, and yet our foreign policy debate ceaselessly obsesses over the most remote and manageable foreign threats.

Are they Obama's?
What is Pakistan's role in the targeting?
Are the civilian death/injury totals grandly exaggerated as a way of plucking more foreign aid from US coffers?
Former president Musharraf was taken back into custody, the Pakistani judicial system is at odds with it's army.
To answer your question__the drone strikes against known terrorists are necessary and then justifiable.

Rupert Murdoch defends the New York Post’s horrendous coverage and those photos of the young Moroccan immigrant kid.
There were a number of journalistic goofs this week — the big one being the numerous erroneous reports of an arrest on Wednesday that never happened. The Post thing actually wasn’t a journalistic failing, it was an ethical one. They’re different.

An Iraqi who is one of the survivors of the torture chambers and who is the chairman of the board of the American University of Iraq in Sulaimani which provides a liberal education in a place where this would have been unheard of 10 years ago is, I would think, quite a credible source.
Pelosi said Bush lied. She also said the CIA lied.
Don't you think she would be considered the less impartial source?

You're a little late. This is old news.
Pouring water up three really bad guys' noses is still up in the air as far as being "torture". They weren't maimed and a physician was present. The CIA agents also had to be waterboarded. Would we "torture" our own guys?
Leon Panetta, the Director of the CIA, clearly implied it was this type of interrogation which helped put the puzzle together to find bin Laden's courier.

You struck a GOP nerve, Dave.
The reason the rich get richer is because the GOP works in their favor and against the welfare of the majority.
Naturally, it is an ongoing and difficult task for Repugnants to maintain the contrary illlusion.
So anything that threatens to rip it down gets them screaming.
