Judged: 2 2 2 Lily, I think you're wrong on this one. The medical examiner disagrees with the family who appear to be attempting to create drama. The young man who has been arrested was in a friendship/relationship with the deceased who's body is said to have injuries consistent with a beating but not dragging or burning. A domestic dispute rather than a hate crime. The town is about 60% black and blacks have controlled politics, and music, in that part of Mississippi for years__it's like the real birthplace of the blues. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Your right Bernie Sanders is the only honest one for saying he is a Socialist and the Republicans & the Democrats are Socialist themselves and dont want to admit it because everything they legistlate is geared towards Socialism which Capitalism rejects even our form of Government which if we were Capitalism those Socialist(Democrats & Republicans) would be on the Street vs living off everyone else that pays taxes. |

Judged: 2 2 2 by John Kennedy | March 4th, 2013 On the eve of the start of the 2013 Legislature, Gov. Rick Scott was dealt a blow Monday when a House committee killed his push for Medicaid expansion. In a party-line vote, 10 Republicans on the House’s committee on the Affordable Care Act, voted against expansion; five Democrats sided with the Republican governor, who recently dropped his longtime opposition to the measure, which is expected to make 1 million lower-income Floridians eligibile for Medicaid. “What you saw today was theater of the absurd,” said Rep. Mark Pafford, D-West Palm Beach, following the vote. The House vote likely sets the stage for a session-long fight over expansion. The politics have been complicated, with Scott getting clear support from Democrats long accustomed to opposing his policies, while Republicans are divided, at best. Defying conservatives in his own party, Scott said he wants the Legislature to approve expanding Medicaid to 138 percent of the poverty level, a move which would make eligible almost 1 million Floridians. Under the expansion, the federal government would pay for 100 percent of the expansion until 2016, when states would start paying a 5 percent share that would gradually increase to a maximum of 10 percent of new costs by 2020. http://www.postonpolitics.com/2013/03/house-p... |

Judged: 2 2 1 Government controls healthcare. Problem made 1000 times worse. I will agree a balance between people taking care of most of their health care costs and insurance for catastrophic illness/injury is the best solution. |

Judged: 2 2 2 The Washington Post reported on March 4 that a woman who appeared in a video claiming Menendez paid her for sex now says that she was paid to make those claims, claims she now denies, as part of an effort to frame Menendez. Menendez has denied the allegations, first reported in November 2012 by the Daily Caller. Fox News has yet to discuss the latest developments that undermine what the Daily Caller has reported for months. By contrast, Fox aggressively hyped the uncorroborated allegations when they were being pushed by the Daily Caller, discussing them during at least 22 segments since November 2012, according to a search of the Nexis database. CNN, which also reported on the initial, uncorroborated allegations against Menendez, has reported on the latest developments. According to the Post, two affidavits have been filed that refute the Daily Caller's story - one by a woman who claims she was paid to give false accounts about Menendez on the Daily Caller video, and one from a lawyer who claims he was misled into getting the woman to provide a false story. As New York Magazine's Margaret Harmann noted, this is at least the second report from a legitimate news source that discredited what the Daily Caller first alleged. The Daily Caller has since claimed that the Post spoke to the wrong woman. Politico reported that the Post is standing behind its reporting. Tucker Carlson, the Daily Caller co-founder and editor-in-chief, is scheduled to appear on Fox News' Special Report Tuesday night. http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/03/05/fox-c... |

Judged: 2 2 2 I know you said that yesterday; and assume you read about that on CNN; however, the final report won't be ready for 2 weeks and the family is saying he was burned; let's see what happens. Yes, I could be wrong, I'm not trying to be right, just saying let the investigation unfold. Apparently that ME didn't have permission to make such a comment is what I have read. Nevertheless, sad for the family to lose a son with such promise. BTW, Mississippi just recently voted on the 13th ammendment banning slavery! What a state. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Government collects the taxes; negotiates the cost of procedures and drugs that is the same and equitable for everyone. No one is denied, no copays, no deductibles, no denial because of pre existing conditions; in other words, all that insurance mumbo jumbo would be eliminated completely. The only way an insurance company makes a profit is by taking in more than they pay out. They have a vested interest in denying services; and the CEO is beholden to a board of directors, rather than the policy holders. |
