Seems the majority drank the kool-aid. That's the problem.
Obama won approximately 58,720,700 (50.1%) of the popular vote.
Romney won approximately 56,145,950 (48.4%).
That means a lot of Americans - pretty much half - didn't drink the kool-aid. That's all it means.
By the way Obama and a lot of you act, you'd think there were only 6 conservatives left on the planet. More than 56 million of us made our voice heard loud and clear. We are not going to remain silent just because a margin of 1.5% drank the kool-aid.
The president is supposed to represent the entire country - to sit down with the representatives of the other half of the country who did not elect him - not just those who gave him a 1.5% margin.
Just in case you...and he...forgot.

The people who voted him in by a very slim margin could care less about his plan. They only voted for him because he's black. That's the ONLY reason he ever got elected to anything. If he was white he'd have never even been elected Senator.

NO. FEMA provides emergency food and shelter. They cannot force electric companies to work faster.
Here is the mandate of FEMA:
While on-the-ground support of disaster recovery efforts is a major part of FEMA's charter, the agency provides state and local governments with experts in specialized fields and funding for rebuilding efforts and relief funds for infrastructure by directing individuals to access low interest loans, in conjunction with the Small Business Administration. In addition to this, FEMA provides funds for training of response personnel throughout the United States and its territories as part of the agency's preparedness effort.
Like I said. FEMA doesn't set power poles.

he doesn't have to worry about what republicans want.
Of course, it would presumably be better for Obamas legacy if the economy were to improve during his second term. But he managed to get re-elected once despite failing to turn around the economy. And he doesnt have to stand for re-election again.
(And did I mention Republicans would be blamed for anything bad that happens?)
The fix is in. Democrats control the presidency, the senate, and the mainstream media. Elections have consequences; they hold the cards. Republicans control the House just enough levers of power to allow them to be blamed for obstruction.
Republicans are so screwed.

Republicans Have Already Lost Fight on Fiscal Cliff
Obama will never fall on his sword, because he doesn't even have to bring a weapon to this fight.
Meanwhile, as the GOP plots an honorable out, the president is crushing them on the broader political and ideological front. It is the president who lays out the populist parameters of this debate (rich vs. the rest) and the Republicans who are unable to muster a cogent retort or a single enticing reform-minded agenda. Instead, the GOP has cooked up a political strategy that repetitively calls out the president for his lack of "leadership" in hopes of pressuring the White House. Good luck with that!

Failing Negotiation 101: How Republicans Are Losing the Fiscal Cliff Battle
As President Barack Obama begins his campaign for tax hikes, Republicans are losing the political battle over the fiscal cliff--but not because Obama won re-election. Rather, they are losing for three reasons that have little to do with the election: first, they have no good alternative to negotiating; second, they have accepted Democrats frame for the debate; and third, they have failed to mount a broader media and cultural strategy.
"broader media and cultural strategy"
FOX is not the answer.

From the FEMA website:
FEMAs mission is to support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.
What the f'k does that mean? Typical bureaucrat governmentspeak.

You apparently don't know hate when you see it. Read a few of the posts on your side of the fence.
It's not my fault Obama acts like he was crowned king of the progressives instead of the leader of all the people.
Neither am I the only one perplexed by his 2008 budget that was rejected by Democrats in 2008 and that he recycled again in 2012.
#815047 Dec 2, 2012
Obama is a bitter racist. Right up there with Rev. Al, Quanell X and the Jackson clan of nutjobs.
#815048 Dec 2, 2012
He proposed the same spending budget that was rejected by his own Democrats in 2008.
Why wouldn't the GOP reject it this time too?
#815049 Dec 2, 2012
so what do conservatives nowadays say about those who complain about so called racism?
they call them racists.
#815052 Dec 2, 2012
Republicans couldn't have been any more clear they were ready to sit down and compromise.
Obama sent Geithner to deliver his decree - I mean, plan - and then took off again somewhere.
Point to any president in history who, in a time of crisis, didn't sit down with the opposition to negotiate a deal that would be acceptable to both sides.
You won't find one. This is the only one. He always has more important things to do.
#815053 Dec 2, 2012
let them reject it. they're screwed no matter what.
the reject, they get called out for obstructionism. they accept, they get called out for being turncoats.
or have you forgotten the day one GOP agenda? and how about the Tea Party and it's castigation of those who don't walk the imaginary line?

That the best you have, Yeahoo? You better start paying, you're proximity to Red China is closer than mine. Whose Administration added more to the debt than any of the previous Administrations? Why that would be the Barack Hussein Obama Administration?? Even Terrible Timmy Geithner couldn't stop these spend thrifts? He's on Fox right now, making excuses?? He even lies with a straight face??
#815055 Dec 2, 2012
He presented another laughable budget and expects the GOP to cave so he can blame them again if they don't.
Wake up. Obama is playing the worst kind of politics - the narcissistic/in-your-face kind.
The GOP are more than willing to compromise. Obama is just no where to be found.

#815056 Dec 2, 2012
We've known this was coming for a year. We know Republicans never budged off their demand for tax cuts for the wealthy. I mean, after all, f*ck the country, their Norquist pledge is more important.
#815057 Dec 2, 2012
The Democrats rejected the same friggin' budget in 2008! Not one Democrat vote in the Senate supported it!
Are you always this thick-headed??
#815058 Dec 2, 2012
once again, you're being a hypocrite.
so when will the GOP signal that they're ready to negotiate in good faith?
like...never? oh but maybe you can show us all some examples of Republicans playing nice with Obama? actually saying they will concede something substantial to get what they want?
so when will we get any details on the counter offer? like...never? and let's not make the first offer on cutting entitlements.'We have to let Obama do that so no on will think it was our idea.' way too late for that as their reluctance signals.
i can assure all of you wingnuts....the deal will not be to your liking. not that majority will care. just check the unskewed polls, or just check the election results if you like.
