What say you? Comments? Questions? Aspersions to be cast at Homer?
Let's see, over the next couple years, if he does a great job first, shall we? A large number of us think we may have bought a pig in a poke as it is.

Most of Sonics posts are from the American Conservative! I don't know about that one, but nevertheless; you must be absolutely delusional if you think racism doesn't exist and as Jimmy Carter so aptly put it "it was always there but with the election of the first black president, it has come bubbling to the surface"
It's not only racism against blacks, it's hispanics as well. And let's not forget the rampant misogyny and homophobia.
It's the angry rich old white guy party who feel that they are entitled to occupy the seats of power and don't want to share.
It's over. Face it.
Major sock puppets are gone.
Republicans seem to feel entitled to the presidency and whine when not in power.

No, let them go out of business. Other more responsible businesses will thrive. You are the stupid one, going to Wallyworld everyday like Pavlovs dog.
The American people should support local businesses who actually pay taxes in your community. Walmart gets to keep the sales taxes, doesn't pay corporate income tax, or property tax, gets a free building and roads, and, the government provides its employees with free healthcare. Wake up dummy

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a rising GOP star once considered a potential running mate for Romney, called Mitts argument “absolutely wrong” at a press conference on Wednesday that opened a meeting of the Republican Governors Association.

“No, I think that’s absolutely wrong,” he said, according to Politico.“Two points on that: One, we have got to stop dividing the American voters. We need to go after 100 percent of the votes, not 53 percent. We need to go after every single vote.”

A message from John Galt:

Obama has been re-elected and now the sad truth about the crashing economy comes out. Fortunately, those who suffer worst in the Obama Depression will be the poor, the worthless fools who voted for this catastrophic Socialist.

To those who wish to live and to recapture the honor their soul:

Stop supporting your own destroyers through the sanction you give them. Do not try to live on your enemies' terms or to win a game when they're setting the rules. Do not help them fake reality.

Do not contribute your achievements to them. When they force you, obey but do not volunteer anything. Do not help criminals pretend that they are your benefactors.

In your own mind and life, practice the morality of life. You have no chance to win on the morality of death.

When the looters' state collapses, the producers will return, and those who wish to live by our code can rejoin us.

Our political system will be based on the moral premise that no one may obtain values by physical force. Each must live by his own rational judgment.

In that world you may live without fear, and live with people who are responsible and reliable. It will be a just world, where your virtues will be rewarded, and mutual respect among people is possible.

Fight for this world, in the name of the best within you. You will win when you are ready to pronounce this oath: "I swear -- by my life and my love of it -- that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."

The US consulate in Benghazi existed only to provide diplomatic cover for the nearby CIA base. Of the thirty people evacuated from the so called annex only seven were state department employees, the others were CIA agents/contractors who controlled sizable "militias" in a secret Libyan war.

There won't be much news drifting out of those congressional hearings___as the bulk of it will be declared classified.

Still no word on what the ambassador was doing there on 9/11.

Does anyone remember the men testifying from behind screens during the Iran Contra hearings? Hah.

How old are you anyway? You obviously haven't been around that long, politically speaking, I mean.
If you keep taxing those who are the job makers, you're going to have more takers than makers.
Surely, you can grasp that.
"Job makers" must be like "garden gnomes". People put them on pedestals and take pictures of them, but they don't actually seem to make anything grow.

Oh , leosanus gets pissy when someone else starts correcting others , show some respect sister or is it sista ??
If the work ethics of many 'legal' citizens rose to the level of many 'illegal' ones, we would be well on our way to climbing out of this mess. Frankly, it seems to me that many of our 'neighbors to the south' contribute far more to local economies than many of us are willing to give them credit for. I abhor the idea of giving away 'free' stuff to illegal residents too, but I'm not wild about giving it to loafers and the shiftless either, even if they were born here. How often do you see able-bodied white folks picking up highway trash? It's usually someone of a somewhat darker persuasion - but the welfare rolls are stuffed with white folks, overwhelmingly. Look it up.

Enough of that, however. As I told 'carol' earlier, I don't think the blame game is working. Time to get busy cleaning up the mess we've all had a part in making. A path to citizenship for the 'undocumented', which involves working and contributing, rather than mooching and lolling, gets my vote.

And it's Sister. Just as I've spelled it since I arrived.

Maybe down there in Florida. Up here they not only pay all the taxes but the businesses surrounding them are thriving as well. There is twenty stores within 50 miles of here with a couple more planned. Wherever they build whole new business districts surround them. I spend my money where I can get the most for the least. Why would anyone pay $2.50 for a dozen eggs when you can buy them for $1.89. Same eggs. Foolish people and their money are soon parted is not just a saying.

Walmart employs the poor and provides low-cost merchandise to the poor. It is certainly appropriate that you would choose to drive Walmart out of business to benefit the wealthy owners of high-cost local businesses that rarely employ minorities.
