Wethersfield High School Could Lose Accreditation

The New England Association of Schools and Colleges gave the school a close inspection and the results aren't good.

Why is it always more money for "the children?" Who destroyed the school?-the children. Every year this town just gets worse and worse. The council seems to think money grows on trees.On a humerous note, the town officals are sending letters to homeowners warning them to fix any blight on their property but appparently do not keep the public buildings in repair. How dumb are these people? Why even vote-one group is just worse than the next.

I am fed up right along with you. The town thinks we are a never ending source of revenue for their pet projects.

Agreed. How many of the old, barren buildings on Silas Deane Highway that have been sitting there for YEARS are in desirable condition? And, what are they doing with them? Does anyone in Wethersfield have any business sense? Or, creativity?

They put all the kids on the honor roll even if they don't deserve it. Just to look good on the books. The kids destroy the property when they are there. They have to have an officer at the school to keep order.
Residents and businesses get taxed to death to pay for this and now we have to renovate the building so they can destroy it again.... Then people can't afford to live here and they move out.It's a dying town.

As someone who grad. from WHS in the 70's, I was appalled by the photos I recently saw of WHS! Hard to believe that is th same school that I attended. What a disgrace. So glad my kids don't go there!!

What has happened to that town anyway, it used to be a nice place to live! I'm visiting in another mo. and it will prob. be my last time out. Wonder if Rocky Hill is any better?!
