Great job by the boys/girls in blue from WPD. Special thanks Berlin PD for loaning the K-9. I heard the full story and for your dog to track one of the suspects to his home such a long distance is down right superb. Give Rin-Tin-Tin some extra treats for us (woof). In addition to find some of the concealed evidence and a weapon too. Wow!!! Nice work. Good grab to all. Thanks WPD for keeping the streets of Wethersfield a little safer at night for the old timers. 10-44.

In this day and age after Cheshire any loser with the gall to attempt a home invasion should be locked up and the key thrown away. How is a home invasion sounding good to these idiots? Do they not have tv's? NO ONE is getting away with this type of crime.

Hmmm, the incident happened Wednesday night. Courant reports the story 3 days later. In the meantime, WTIC Radio, WFSB-TV, and New britain Herald all reported the story the next day. Hey paying subscribers, why do you give money to a company that chooses not to provide you with their product?

I was reading some home safety tips I thought might be of use. Check out this link - according to the article, the majority of break-ins occur through unlocked doors and windows. http://www.jordanfrankel.wordpress.com/2008/1... Stay safe!

Thanks, most of it is common sense but very helpful. We got the night guard locks ( the ones where you can only raise the window a few inches) installed a couple of years ago and I think they are great. We are now looking at an alarm system, too much going on in Wethersfield.

Did you hear about the new law about home invasions? You get the death penalty. If you break in at night and I'm home, my Smith and Wesson will apply the penalty. Saves the State a lot of money.

Most people like to pay to be told what they want to hear " they caught 4 suspects only 4 out of the god knows how many...this whole town is screwed up (i've seen enough to know) Incompetent Courant wrote: Hmmm, the incident happened Wednesday night. It is extremely disturbing and frightening. They were robbed at gunpoint and unless you were there please don't pretend to know what you're talking about *cough tell em I said that* Stop spreading rumors and lies about them getting robbed for drugs. Not true and not funny. That's my family you're talking about.

I'd also like to add that I'm very happy with the WPD. They were prompt and took this matter very seriously. Most importantly, all four suspects were apprehended and so were their weapons.

yeah the real story is that some of the kids who were "robbed" had robbed one of the "attackers" of almost $700 a few days earlier. So the person who was robbed got some friends and went the kids house and robbed him of all his drugs and money. Go ahead ask your family member what really happened..... dont you realize there was a reason behind it....

Oh so you were there?? Don't think so.. and if you were that would make you an accessory.. did you know about what was happening before everything went down?? If so, I'm sure WPD would be very interested to know that. Doesn't matter what happened.. fact of the matter is that someone BROKE INTO THE HOUSE and HELD A GUN in the person's face and demanded money or whatever was involved. There are children living in that house and someone could have gotten killed. If in fact, one of the victim's did rob someone before hand, then THAT PERSON should have gone to the police and since they didn't.. I'm not buying it. Didn't you're mommy ever tell you that two wrongs don't make a right?

Buddy.. they are clearly not as bad as your friends are. Did they break into someone's home with a gun while endangering the lives of innocent family members? Don't think so. Use your brain.

Here's a thought. I think a lot of the problems happening of late are connected to the Wethersfield Housing Authority. Now, Hartford Housing Authority was able to tear down their gaping sewer holes and now other useful buildings stand where the trouble spots used to. Why can't we tear down OUR low income housing, sell off the land and how about a nice golf course or something?
