Quit your bellyaching. I live in Wethersfield, and had very, very minor damage to my home for which I am grateful. I will make a claim on my homeowners insurance which is what the cry babies should do. I fail to understand why poster number one thinks this is Obama's problem. He can't wipe everyone's as* for them.

Poster number two, your senators are doing what they have been doing for the last 20 years, probably fishing.

Thats how he got elected in the first place, by promising to do just that.

The IRS collects more tax money from CT residents than the Federal government gives back in aid. What else is new? With the current administration's love for expanded government programs and higher taxes, this discrepancy will only grow. Vote out ALL incumbents in 2010!

True, but only people who want the government to wipe their behinds believed it. Well, I guess that's a lot of people.

I'm very happy that you did not suffer major damage but others did so shut your pie hole. If the government is willing to give flood victims money year after year they can give money to the folks in CT. that suffer from a natural disaster.

You sound like a cry baby. For the unfortunate victims of the storm, why can't they file a claim with their homeowners insurance, you know, act responsibly instead of expecting someone else to clean up the mess? Federal money is taxes you reject, who do you think is REALLY footing that bill?

actually you have people like to thank Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) who shockingly exclaimed: "we're not going to cry 'emergency' every time we have a Katrina."

I guess they don't have emergencies in Tennessee and I REALLY hope we don't have a Katrina

'cause if its up to her, we'll all drown too :(

It's easy for her to say that. The other 49 states paid for the Tennessee Valley Authority to provide intensive flood countrol while promoting tourism. Can't expect them to pay that back a bit by helping others out.
