Sounds like this lady could use this jail time to get her act together. She's lucky she didn't kill someone else.

Four years is excessive-violations of probation NEVER get these types of sentences.

Judge caved to MADD-no different than all the other "politicians" behind the bench.

This is one very sick lady and prison isn't going to help her one bit ... but it's sure going to help us.

Actually, the four years sober might just start her on the right path but her outlook ain't good.

You obviously don't read much. This lady killed a postal carrier because she was loaded and then left the scene. She then, after serving some time, has the audacity to get behind the wheel again when she's drunk. She deserves more than four years. Third times the charm. Should've given her 10.

Sounds to me like this lady does not want help, she has had several major chances to get it. The fact that she was once drunk on her way home from an AA meeting tells you she believed it (AA meeting) was a crock of crap. She deserves jail because it is the only way she will stop drinking.

Yes, Alcoholism is an awful disease but that does not give one the right to get behind the wheel of a car and drive.

She should be singing this while in jail ... all I want for Christmas is sob-ri-ety... someone please help this woman clean up her act. Why does her husband give her an automobile to drive? Take away her license and car... before she kills someone else. She clearly hasn't learned her lesson! Keep her locked up!

Good, this women deserves all the jail she gets. Plowing down mailmen, drunken domestics, and sauced up Escalade rides down Hebron Ave. what a wreck! She really is a desperate ahousewive.

Really if it wasn't for the Courant giving this lady so much attention, Norko would of bowed down to this lady's money and connections. She would of then gotten a really light sentence.

Probably got a few DUI's under yer belt ?

One would think that after taking an innocent life , someone just out doing their job , she might think twice about driving after drinking ?
Or maybe even drinking at all ?

She got what was deserved , if not less than that .

the husband should have been arrested for interfering with police and / or had his medical license suspended if he really thinks his known drunkard wife was suffering a "seizure" ... either way something HAS to happen to him ... he sounds like he is the class example of being an enabler !

if you really think this drunkard got railroad'ed then i recommend of the 12 step programs for you as well because you are in denial about your drinking - she's a murderer and she has no excuses for her driving - she can drink all she wants - but there is no reason to justify her driving in that condition ! the fact that she continues to do it, begs for prison time and guess what - she got her wish !

Why was this woman out on the street after hitting and killing someone and fleeing the scene? It's one thing to be an alcoholic, it's another to habitually drink and drive. You'd think after killing someone she'd never drive drunk again. Obviously jail is the only thing that will stop her from killing someone else.

What a dumb thing to say.

He is a doctor and she had an accident. If he had not checked her condition when he got there, he would have been violating his oath as a physician.
Her BAC was over 34, glassy eyes and frothing at the mouth, after having an accident - and you don't think he should have offered medical assistance or comment? She probably DID have a seizure, from all the booze, etc., but to say a doctor MUST PAY for offering an opinion, is sophomoric.

Too bad she didn't have a seizure BEFORE getting behind the wheel. Anyway, they should lock her up for good. She is going to kill someone again and they can take away her license for life and she will still drive.
