Love your fallacies tonight, Sue. Hilarious!! You took a general comment about women and made it personally about NAP. Good thing she's thick skinned.
Oh, another thing, you're citing philosophy society as a whole follows (such as blaming the victim {this is a legal strategy defendants use to get out of taking responsibility for bad behavior}) but contributing it all to one group you distance yourself from, falsely believing you've remained separate.
And the whole time, you're blaming those very women you insist carry their unwanted pregnancies to term for being un or underemployed while raising those children you insisted they had.
Like I said, f'n hilarious!!!

This is a really good definition of a Democrat. I think that I will copy and save it.

I was a single mom ..High school and barely one gear of college .
Had ancillary health care jobs ..went on my own mostly to learn how to do them better ..
Had to quit the first ..where I was pulling places at a time ..as it sometime s required hauling a,heavy machine around the hospital ..And I got injured ..still worked ..got some schooling in assisting .
Worked continuously ..
Total aid ..a month of food stamps after I was hospitalized .
Managed to raise my child ..parents helped till they both died ..rest was on my own..no child support .
She has gone on to do better than I did ..2 degrees ..post grad .
That was the way things were ..You raised your kids best you COULD
To be better off than you were.
In my day they didn't think girls as a rule were meant for college
As a rule .
That is what women's lib was about ..get that education or career path
And yes contraceptives a big part of it

A very good evening to you my dear "Madame..."

Well, I'm still here--so are they--so I guess that qualifies as a "decent" day.
Uggh, they're driving me nuts!
Of course it isn't their fault...but they still are.
Dad seems to have checked out rather well in the "cardiac" department, it's the neurologists who're none too sure of his condition.
I'm in no position to argue with them though I am going to go and request that someone, anyone, take him for some periodic "walks."
Sitting around all day isn't helping his condition; his leg muscles need exercise, and just sitting or lying down isn't really doing him any favors.
Anyhow, will keep you posted with the updates as I get them.
Thank you again my friend.
:)
Best,
John.

I am so fu**ing happy for your grandwhelps, I could plotz. In the meantime, millions of americans who WANT to work can't get hired because they are middle-aged or have less-than-perfect health, or there simply aren't enough jobs to go around. You denigrate millions of people with good work ethics.

You mean the way the teabaggers keep stirring up their inbred base by claiming the government is going to take away all guns, force abortions on christian women, and make everyone marry someone of them same sex?

For every sharpton on our side (and I'm no fan of his), you people have a limbaugh, a robertson, a coulter, etc. So you might want to notch down the self-righteous rhetoric.

It's a matter of supply and demand. The Dems have to create a demand for what they want to supply.
Here's an example:
Al Sharpton has to keep fueling the fire of racism. If he allows the fire to die, he becomes obsolete. Now I'm in no way implying that there is no racism, there is. However there is racism within all races and against all races. Why doe he only focus on select racism?

SOmething else I found to share:)

He was getting old and paunchy
And his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion,
Telling stories of the past.
Of a war that he once fought in
And the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies;
They were heroes, every one.
And 'tho sometimes to his neighbors
His tales became a joke,
All his buddies listened quietly
For they knew where of he spoke.
But we'll hear his tales no longer,
For ol' Joe has passed away,
And the world's a little poorer
For a Veteran died today.
He won't be mourned by many,
Just his children and his wife.
For he lived an ordinary,
Very quiet sort of life.
He held a job and raised a family,
Going quietly on his way;
And the world won't note his passing,
'Tho a Veteran died today.
When politicians leave this earth,
Their bodies lie in state,
While thousands note their passing,
And proclaim that they were great.
Papers tell of their life stories
From the time that they were young,
But the passing of a Veteran
Goes unnoticed, and unsung.
Is the greatest contribution
To the welfare of our land,
Some jerk who breaks his promise
And cons his fellow man?
Or the ordinary fellow
Who in times of war and strife,
Goes off to serve his country
And offers up his life?
The politician's stipend
And the style in which he lives,
Are often disproportionate,
To the service that he gives.
While the ordinary Veteran,
Who offered up his all,
Is paid off with a medal
And perhaps a pension, small.
It is not the politicians
With their compromise and ploys,
Who won for us the freedom
That our country now enjoys.
Should you find yourself in danger,
With your enemies at hand,
Would you really want some cop-out,
With his ever-waffling stand?
Or would you want a Veteran
His home, his country, his kin,
Just a common Veteran,
Who would fight until the end.
He was just a common Veteran,
And his ranks are growing thin,
But his presence should remind us
We may need his likes again.
For when countries are in conflict,
We find the Veteran's part,
Is to clean up all the troubles
That the politicians start.
If we cannot do him honor
While he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage
At the ending of his days.
Perhaps just a simple headline
In the paper that might say:
"OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING,
A VETERAN DIED TODAY.

I wouldn't expect or want you to feel any other way. Imo, he sure sounds like one from the writings on him. He suffers from many deficits of character from the story of him...the Bible. I'm not impressed by the description you folks promote as his word. Just my opinion, which doesn't influence anyone, I know. We're just talking here, after all.

Isn't it awesome that we live in a country where we can all believe, or not believe, in anything, or nothing? It's equally awesome that we live in a country where we can fight to change, or preserve, laws that we do/don't agree with.
