LOL Well, its not like they can put it back, y'know? <<grin>>

I suppose they could do what this surgeon did:

A surgeon retires from his long career as a specialistin circumcision. Throughtout his career he has saved hundreds of foreskins as mementos and now wishes to turn them into a souvenir. He takes his specimens to a leathersmith and asks him to make something out of them. A week later the surgeon returns and the leathersmith presents him with a wallet. "All those foreskins and you only made me a wallet?" exclaims the surgeon. The leathersmith replies, "Yes, but if you stroke it, it becomes an 8 piece luggage set!"

Inkstain, are you REALLY this stupid? The man, IF he existed, claimed to be g-d. That alone was breaking the laws of the Torah.

The depth of your CONTINUED AND DELIBERATE stupidity is astounding.

But foo, are you saying once someone has told you what they believe on anything, or their personal story, that they shouldn't repeat it?
Are you so slow and dimwitted that you can't understand plain language?

I'm saying that when you've been told, but literally over a DOZEN people in a single place that your stories have become meaningless to them, that they've in FACT become a joke, its time to move on.

You harm yourself and whatever points you're trying to make when you turn people off to the degree that you do.

I went back over just over three weeks worth of posts last night. I didn't pick the number 35 out of thin air, its the amount of times you repeated the SAME bullshit.

You whine that if you were PC you'd be given compassion and condolances, yet you WERE given both the FIRST time you told it. But the thing is you dont shut UP. Its like you have three stories to tell - your mother was a whore, you found your father dead and the night you found g-d. Goodie for you. We know it already, and nobody cares. Enough already.
It seems you have no problem with others repeating their stance on abortion, over and over, and over, it it only when the name of Jesus Christ is used, that you and others say enough.
There truly is something about that name.
Again, you're outright lying. There have been MANY really great discussion centering around religion here, but its a give and take, not some idiot trying to beat people over the head as you do with ONE story told dozens of times EVERY time you post.

This is an abortion forum, so yes, its about our stances, the laws and the discussion moves AROUND those ideas.

You dont give two shits about the issue of abortion, beyond how it applies to YOU and YOUR view of your version of g-d. Its meaningless to those that actually MATTER.

I disagree.
More is being done, then "we" know.
How many pro life people have you convinced to become pro choice? Do you stop?
See, this is a classic example of your tunnel vision. Nobody is TRYING to convince anyone to become pro-choice you idiot. The discussion is about the issues surrounding abortion, the laws, the rights etc.., but most of all, for some of us on BOTH sides, its about finding a middle to work from to help make changes so abortion really DOES become more rare through edcuation, through birth control, through awareness.

I should have read ahead LOL!

As I said, Gtown isn't here to have discussion, he's here to preach, and he's a miserable failure at it.

You said you grew up Baptist???

I grew up Very RCC...but the best church i ever went to and really bdcame a part of was a very small Baptist congregation..I found no judgement at all from the pastor about past transgressions etc..gave me a lot of bolstering in my kind of new found faith at the time. And the people were great..They were kind of absorbed into a larger congregation who took over..only been back a few times .my fault not theirs..I loved it small..but hard to survive that way..ss a church.
But point is it surprised me as I had heard kind of scary things about Baptists...

GRR I had a long answer but it timed me out or whatever..anyway. i have several versions ..They are all the same content except the Catholic which has several extra books. The king james for example has tge same things as the New Living Translation but the NLT is written in more modern sentences..Easier to explain. Just gave one to a friend who calls me to help her with some explanations in her NIV bible Now she uses the NLT also.

Have a question. Are all of yours Torah Tanakh in tge same language Hebrew??? Or Aramaic?? Or do you translate say to German or English.

I remember as a kid most of what we read at Mass was in Latin jn whatever country..then it changed snd
when the bible first came out printed for the people the RCC banned it..Said we couldnt underdtand without the priests

I think you all had kind of tge same thing?? Only certain people could interpret and they were men????

LOL I hear ya. There are so many denominations of Baptists that not even they can agree on one doctrine. I got out for a few different reasons, for one, the sermons were all the same. "Lost, hell lost, saved, heaven, lost, hell, sin come back and ask forgiveness, lost, saved, hell, heaven, the homosexuals, lost, saved.
We too were a very small congregation, mostly family and close friends and I'm like why are you preaching about being lost when you witnessed everyone of these people being saved?
But what really turned me off of the Baptist faith was some years ago in Knoxville, a Universalist Church was shot up and people killed. The motivation was hatred of blacks, homosexuals, liberals, and democrats after years of listening to propaganda from major media outlets and other sources. This church was the type they didn't care if you were Jewish, Catholic, gay, black, hispanic, or white. They had no specific denomination. I'd go there before I'd ever step foot in another Baptist church.

Ithink it wss sone Council of the Church Cant remember the name. And I know there were other writings..some true and some fantastic like a superboy type miracles by the baby Jesus and Jesus and Mary Magdala married. Etc..
What was included was those they could verify by other accounts or verify the true writer but it was the Church...which compiled it.
That statement about Jesus not bringing peace in some families makes sense as some would believe and some not..But He did not preach insurrection to take over as tge zealors did
Thesllre was no real Roman reason to kill him..yet they did..politics...8040
The Nicene Council...it's main purpose was to come up with a uniform church doctrine. There's no verification that any of the writings were true.

I agree. I think many religious practices, of many different faiths, are damaging, either physically, psychologically, or both.
