The NT is the fulfillment of the OT.
You meant, "we reject their belief that Jesus was (not) the son of God.

Correct.

But from THEIR POV, Christianity rejects Judaism, BECAUSE we believe JC is the Son of God.

They don't believe the Messiah has come, yet. They are still waiting.

Earlier I saw a post from you demanding a "yes/no" answer. Then there's this one, "I don't want to EVER hear again, that..."
You're oddly demanding for being just another anonymous poster on a message board.
Not odd at all. I have a right to tell a person whom wants to debate or converse with me to be honest. If they can't be honest, then I don't want to discuss the lies again.

Regarding foo,she outright lied, got busted by pastorbooby, and then tried to AGAIN lie her way out of it. She has no right to deceive others as to what the Jewish faith believes regarding killing the innocent in the womb. I've told her repeatedly that real Jews are against abortion as choice and she fought me tooth and nail that they didn't.

Not that YOU care about Gods word or anything.

Uh yes, really. You support the legal extinction of human life based on it's stage of development. You can't really get any more discriminatory than that.
Legal extinction? Extinction? Is "human life" even close to extinction? Does any woman seek an abortion for the purpose of causing human extinction?

You reject Judiasm by believing in a false messiah.
Which is the Jewish POV.

From our POV, He isn't false, therefore fulfilled the criteria of Messiah. We obviously can't reject the OT when our NT relies on it. You guys don't accept the NT, of course.

I got 3 posters who are not getting it -- Ink, sjm, and now knit.

Is it that freakin' hard to understand?

FYI,there are many Jewish people who believe(after reading/studying the OT or by other revelations)that Jesus HAD to be the Messiah.

In Jesus's day, either Jews believed it,or they didn't. The ones that did, didn't *reject* Judaism because of it.

*sigh*

Actually, you got what you asked for. Links showing the Orthodox view on abortions, showing where it condones abortion.

Not MY fault you are too stupid to say what you mean the first two times around.

Thank you for correcting my typo.

The Jews who followed Christ(Christians)while he was on earth, didn't reject Judaism. Nor do we.

We only disagree that Jesus was not the son of God.

"Listen up now. I don't care if we are talking about the Jewish religion, Catholic religion or some other religion. If that religion FORBIDS something, then they not only forbid it for you personally, but for you having a part in it whatsoever.
How hard is that to understand?"

Wrong. That may be what your religion teaches, but it is not what every relgion does, and it is most certainly not fact.

"My previous example was spot on. AND you know it too."

No, it was not.

"Catholicism, like Judaism,is the WORD of the same God."

No, they are two different religions, with their own beliefs. Sorry, but that is a fact. Judaism is not "Christianity Light".

"The new testament is the fullfillment of the old testament."

Says you. I disagree, Judaism disagrees, and no one really cares what you think.

"We believe in the word of God. We therefore follow him because we love him and he loves us."

You speak for yourself and your religion only. Not Judasim. BTW, you don't follow your God's words, either.

"You're silly to make such stupid accusations that we are mind controlled."

You are brainwashed. Well and truly.

"Save that nonsense for Satan worshippers who are possessed and controlled(some willingly)."

There are none here.

I will continue to point out your brainwashing all I like.

I'll try to simplify it for you.

Go back to Christ's time. You had those who were Hebrew and recognized Him as the Son of God, and you had Hebrews that did not.

The Hebrews that did not, reject Christianity. The Hebrews that recognized Him did not stop being Hebrew.

From the POV of those that did not recognize Him, they would think Christians betrayed the Jewish faith, therefore rejected it.

You are the one that said that Christians reject Judaism because they don't believe that Jesus is the Messiah. You even compared it to Muslims and how you could never be one because they reject Jesus as Messiah post 286469.

We don't reject Judaism. You are obviously the one not getting it.

Foo's POV is not "Jewish POV" btw. It's her personal belief. Other Jews that I know of,understand that our NT is the fulfillment of the OT,therefore, leading them to understand that we don't "reject" Judaism.

Foo is a lost soul. You seem to be too or you would never think that we reject Judaism.

<quoted text> No,you don't say what you mean,mean what you say.
Here's but a few examples.
You said that you followed your religion regarding your views on abortion. You don't.
Yes actually I do. I haven't had an abortion, elective or otherwise.
Judaism forbids elective abortion yet you CHOOSE to support a woman making a choice to abort.
YOU choose to keep lying about what **I** think and have said time and time again.

I do NOT have to support the choice the woman makes. Its not my place or job to support her. Hopefully she has a good support system in place, that she doesn't NEED a strangers support for something that's none of their business anyway.

I SUPPORT HER RIGHT TO MAKE HER OWN CHOICES. Period. Nothing more, nothing less.
You even escort women(Jewish women too)to abortion clinics to abort.
So what? Nothing against my faith about that.

But I'm sure you'll make something up.
Do you understand what an accessory to something means?
Nothing about accessories in the bible dear. Tho to see how many Jewish women dress, you'd think otherwise.....

2. You claimed to be prochoice. You claim to want a woman to have total control over her body, her medical choices(abortion) and her decisions regarding them. YOU support restrictions which means she DOESN'T have control over her body, her medical choices and her decisions.
3. You claimed that a "zef" has no rights yet you think that after viability that "zef" suddenly deserves protection.
Oh,the list goes on,..but...YOU get the point, don't cha?
Yeah, the POINT seems to be that you're a redundant idiot, who is incapable of understanding simple concepts the first 8 times they're explained to you, so you feel a need to incessently repeat the same crap over and over as if the answers will change until you get the one you want.

You're truly pathetic Skankdawg.

I don't get your use of the word 'reject'. Christians accept Islam and Judaism as religions. They don't usually become members of those religions because they believe Jesus is the Son of God and they wouldn't fit in with a religion that doesn't.
I still don't think that Christianity rejects Judaism. We believe so much the same. The only difference is we belive that God sent the promised Messiah and the Jewish people don't.
If you think that's the ONLY difference, you're abject ignorance is MUCH more profound than I gave you credit for.

You support the legal extinction of "a" human life based on it's stage of development. Playing what you perceive to be clever word games does nothing to defend your discriminatory stance.

Many of the ones that didn't recognize him as the son of God,weren't always faithful people. As you can see that Jesus confronted the higher ups who were lip service Jewish who's hearts where far from God.

Many didn't have enough faith to believe.

Centuries later,we have cradle born Jews because of them.

Jesus even said that they walked with him,ate with him, heard him preach, witnessed his miracles but CHOSE to reject him anyway.

The followers of Christ were not considered Benedict Arnolds. It was just a difference of belief.

It's really no different today. We have Jews and Catholic and Christians alike who are lazy in their prayer lives,or just refuse to follow and honor and worship their God. Some either don't care or they just put him on a shelf and dust him off occassionally when a tragic event occurs. Sad for the children and generations of that person to follow.

Again,I know Jews who don't feel the Christians or Catholics reject Judaism because they believe in Christ as our savior. In fact,I discuss the OT with a few Jews that I know. My friend is a convert who was Jewish but began to study and reconized Jesus as the savior after all.
