Most 'weeds' are C4 plants which means that they will get more of a boost from high CO2 levels than C3 crops. Typically the most productive crop plants are C3 since the synthesis mechanism uses less energy allowing more of the incoming light to produce food storage.
A good reference is New Scientist, Sept 11, 2010 on page 43
Thanks. That's clarifying.

The "More CO2 is Good!" crowd fails to account for the other effects of CO2 because it starts to get very complicated and they can't process that much information.

No, what I said was the "More CO2 is Good!" crowd fails to account for the other effects of CO2 because it starts to get very complicated and they can't process that much information.

Yes, but Mothra is not a youth. He is beyond STEM. He is apparently a large, moth-like, Japanese science fiction character.

"Mothra has been portrayed as using a number of special abilities. It has been shown to have the ability to spray silk, fly, metamorphose, generate hurricane-force wind, scatter poison and use various magical energy attacks." -Wiki

With all those powers, Mothra don't need no steenking education!

This is a laugh a minute from all the usual suspects, Fox news, Rush, Trump etc. All making claims Global warming is over because its a snow feast in the US. It's a pity these poor individuals were not blessed with having their left side of the brain working because that's the part of the brain that controls Language , Logic, Critical thinking, Numbers & Reasoning. None of which get any form of workout in any of their comments.

Only if you exclude the mid-eval warm period. Which is exactly what East Angia did. That is, shape the data to get the pre-determined hypoyhesis; not to get the facts. We must worship that hockey stick.

It's not global temperatures that affect the arctic, it's arctic temperatures, which have gone up more in the last 30 years than the global average.
Oh No! It cannot be that recently descovered volcanic seamount chain extending from the northern Canadian Teritories to Siberia. That whole chain has been erupting for four years.

Let's consider gas laws (true science.) CO2 and Methane (CH4) tend to settle at lowest levels. If a natural gas leak occurs, where does the methane accumulate? CO2 has a greater molecular weight than methane (Solomons Organic Chemistry Fith Edition); Text.
I do not feel like writing a graduate thesis right now. Do your own research and take some college-level geology classes.

Ozritz,
Defending a theory with a theory might be either right brain or left brain. So, depending on which theory you choose, well you can see where this is going, depending upon on which side of your brain actually controls your thinking process. Too bad you don't have a choice..

I think it was mid-evil; not real evil, but not good either.

Everything will be alright as long as the lizard people leave us alone.
