Rebuffed chemical company takes its expansion plans to the people of Westwego

How come I haven't seen a followup to this story? Can anyone comment on what happened at the meeting last night? I wanted to be there but had to work late.

I have been wondering the same thing. The zoning board said no, the council said no, the people stated facts at the Thursday zoning meeting a couple of weeks ago and the meeting Monday 2 weeks ago the council appeared not to approve it. How many more discussions and meetings will Blackwater have to get what they want. Everything about this is so hush hush, because obviously Blackwater thinks they can still (or knows) they can convince the city to give in and say ok.It depends on the dollar amount, so I guess Wego can be bought if the price is right........... It is all game, I like games but not games when it affects the people of Westwego. We have to wait and see but I bet dollars to donuts Blackwater will get approved. I could write so much more, but I am tired of playing this game.
