Alverson is good cop. In my opinion the only one worth his badge on our police force. ThE rest are a** kissin good ole boys, and two faced hypocrites that protect their own but hide behinD their badges and talk shit to people for aledgedly doing stuff that they allow and protect their own for.

What sets Alverson apart from the others that do the same job and actually work side by side with him to combat crime. Most of the officers there do a great job. And another thing, you want to talk about some of them being out of shape but you need to realize that only half of the force is paid. Thats right, the officers that you talk about and call names are volunteering their time to help keep the town and surrounding area safe so before you talk down on these guys, get a little clue and maybe appreciate what their doing instead of bitching about how they look

We Will see how happy you are with the morbidly obese officer when some one breaks into your home and he needs to run more than 5 feet to catch the guy

actally the reserves are unpaid unless they are called in to do the job. at many times they do volenteer there services. and that little fatman you are talking about can do more than you realize. I have been over weight for years myself and still able to catch an idiot when the need arose. many time I have heard "Man you are pretty fast for a fat man!" Do not discount a persons abilities by looks. If you are refering to a certain little Cherokee Fat Man I have known for years. he is a fiesty little feller, and besides if he can't out run you he can shoot your dumb ass and slow you down LMAO...

It would be nice to see them in our area more often but i guess it hard to patrol the town when they are always out in the country answering their calls and helping them.Alverson is just like the rest of the chiefs.

I am going to address this rumor, and hopefully dispel any myths before they get started. I am a Westville, OK native. I graduated in 1999. I then attended college at Northeastern State University. While going to school I worked as a law enforcement officer in Arkansas. I attended the law enforcement academy in 2002 in Arkansas. I have been Involved in various facets of law enforcement including patrol commander, K-9 officer, and school resource officer during my career. It is true, I am a school and juvenile officer currently, which is a sworn law enforcement position. It is a directed position to combat crime in the schools and concerning juveniles.
As far as asking the town council to pay my rent, that has never happened. I am looking for a place to rent, and if anyone could point me to one it would be greatly appreciated.
As far as asking for a raise, I haven't been paid or on payroll. I have spoke to the council about a salary that I would need, which is far less than my current salary.
As far as not knowing Oklahoma law, and sending me to school, that is half correct. I will have to attend a 3 week law block certification course. Any out of state law enforcement officer would have to take the course, and it is common among states that allow lateral transfers.
My main interest in the position is to raise my child in a small town, and have the quality of life associated with a small town. I am very excited by the idea of "coming home" and returning my family to the same area I grew up. I am also excited to be able to come back in a position to give back to the community that supported me as a young man. All I can ask is for the opportunity and the support of the community.
As soon as I hit city limits and get into my office I invite any one who has any questions, comments, or concerns, to my office. I have an open door policy, and believe it is the police departments role to serve the community.
As far as any salary agreed upon, it is no secret. It will be a matter of public record.

As a council member I take pride in my town and the decisions I make, are not made lightly. In NO way do I make decisions based on friendships. In fact you may ask Mr. Sisemore I was ready to NOT vote for him based on what seemed or what was made to appear to be a friendship, that ultimately turned out to be nothing more than an acquaintance. I also agree with Mr. Sisemore he has NEVER asked this council NOR have we agreed to pay his rent. We have shared our commitment to helping him find a suitable place to live, but we will not be using monetary funds to directly pay his rent. With the raise situation it is a common practice that when a police chief lives within the city limits his pay is compensated as such. When he lives out of town his salary is lower but his transportation is paid so it all comes out pretty even. You can see proof of this with our prior chiefs. Mr. Sisemore's salary will be a matter of public record and I believe anyone with any sense will see that his salary is modest and we are VERY lucky to have his caliber of expertise in Westville. I and the council are VERY excited to see him in his new role and to see the vision he has, come to pass. Mr. Sisemore comes from a large police department and he comes highly recommended. But his heart and his vision is for Westville. I realize that in the past we have had leaders who did not serve this town or its citizens in a way as to bring integrity and pride. I realize that for years the good ole buddy system promoted people, fired people, and excused less than stellar job performance. Folks those days are OVER... We have a GREAT town, and we have some great people who are eager and willing to make it better. Let's use topix and other social media to encourage our neighbors and friends to get on board and take our town to the next level. Welcome home Mr. Sisemore and I can't wait to see you show what true leadership is all about.

The Sisemore's are wonderful people. I was elated when I had heard that Tommy was hired as police chief. He will bring a lot of good things to the table and our town will benefit from his leadership. I say kudo's to our city council on a very wise decision.
