The burning Beddow?(Or, wait, no! This isn't about an STD infection again!)
What a tangled bed we strip when first we practice to go whoring at a Champaign bar.

All the Beddows have "personal" issues, especially with their loved ones. Some have even been known to be married repeatedly and cheat on their wives (some with persons of the opposite gender as their wives!).

Ho hum, another Beddow in trouble.

You've made your bed, now lie down in it....

Beddow is innocent until proven guilty. He has been a drunk and a whoore monger for years. Still, the one time he got caught shouldn't ruin his career.

Remember that Ed Miller guy who ran the Probation Office? He slaughtered a man in cold blood, horribly mangling a man after getting drunk and driving on I-74 back in '95 or '96. Whatever happened to Ed Miller? He's the husband of Susan Ponder Miller. Oh yeah, he got promoted to run the very office that monitored guys like himself.

Deep in the ghetto was a village named Danville,
Lo and behold,
It was an insufferable town.
All the Topix users responded negatively,
To anyone upset with the ghetto that be!

Wow, is anyone really surprised by this?

We already know they're all trash.

They cheat on their wives.

They keep drugs they "confiscate".

They threaten to arrest people if they perform CPR on an injured person...Then the injured person dies.(Elks Club)

They put guns to the head of unarmed people while they're off duty.

They brag to their family about the people they shot, or accident scenes they responded too.

and so much more

yet we're going to pretend to be surprised when this guy walks with no consequences?

Police around here are crooked. They go into peoples houses with no search warrants and keep evidence. Even other counties in Illinois will tell you about their crooked ways. Dont get me wrong their might be 2 or 3 legit cops but the rest are scumbags.

Exactly, 90% of them are worthless pieces of crap who like to harass people to feel "big" (when they even decide to show up)

Okay, can anyone verify this:
I spent a few years refusing to tell anyone because I don't like to spread rumors. But as I've thought over old things and in light of some new cases, I feel I need to air this.
We all know there are five or six bi cops on the Danville Police Department. They include a couple who send their kids to Schlarman and pretend to be religious and "volunteer" at Boy Scout functions and with their kids youth activities.
What I'm getting at is this: Do some of these cops frame young men, in essence, to get even with them for turning down sexual advances? I have it on good authority that five or six cops have engaged in sexual activities with men in the States Attorneys office and with at least one "major" leader of their own police department in order to get charges pressed against young men who won't have sex with them.
I have no real evidence, of course, and despite all the ways I add it up, it seems like this is really happening.
Can anybody shed light on this for me. I hate to think such a horrendous thing is happening right here in Danville. If so, it's no longer the town i grew up in.

First, the summery suspension does not take affect until 46 days, it hasn't been 46 days yet. Second, if you get an attorney you can get a "Stay" from suspension while you are pleading your case. Third, trust me, Sgt. Beddow will pay for his DUI in fees, fines, grief at work and stagnation in his career far more than the average citizen. I am not sticking up for his actions, but let's not make him pay more than anyone else just because he is a cop.

IT IS NOT ABOUT HIM GETTING MORE COSEQUENCES THAN ANYONE ELSE ALTHOUGH THE FACT IS HE IS A POLICE OFFICER AND HE SHOULD HAVE MORE CONSEQUENCES YET POLICE WANT TO CRACK ON TRUCK DRIVERS AND THEY AUTOMATICALY GET DETERMINATED IS MATTER AS FACT THEY GET A SIMPLE SPEEDING TICKET THEY HAVE TO REDO THEIR LICENSES MY OPINION IS THAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE I THINK HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED LIKE ANYONE ELSE. Just my opinion. But what do i know!

Nobody wants him to pay MORE! What we want is for him to be held to the same standards as everyone else. Instead hes getting special treatment just like EVERY cop does when they screw up. I guarantee that none of the people he or his buddies have given DUI's to have had there cases handled so leniantly.

They wonder why people don't respect the badge when the FACT is they're not worthy of any respect.

The only difference between these cops and the criminals they chase is that the criminals go to jail for their crimes.

Pathetic.

It'll all be swept under the rug.

Example: the link you posted doesn't even link to an article anymore.

The "sweeping" has already begun...I guess now we know why the comical news never posts any stories about all the rapes and crooked cops in Danville. Less of a newspaper than a propoganda rag to make you think it's "not that bad".

"Crooked cops! Nah! The people of Danville would rather see a story about road construction or Habitat for Humanity......They'll figure out their town is sh*t when their wives and daughters get raped and the cops don't do anything about it."

Anyway, this story will disappear until people forget about it enough that they can drop the charges.

Eventually one of these pigs will run down a kid and end up getting thrown under the bus by their "badge buddies". I'm sure they'll act appropriately disgusted even though they really allowed it to occur.

This scenario will happen:

Late one night, Deputy Nick Beddow stays sober enough to notice a dilapidated lemon swerve into the center lane of North Vermilion Street during rush hour traffic. He flashes his lights, pulls over the bad driver. Utilizing the breathalyzer he swears can't be trusted, he complies with the law (for a change) and handcuffs the inebriated motorist.

Fast forward to Judge Claudia Anderson's courtroom months later:

The defendant (whom we will call Larry Mills) is sworn in. The prosecutor asks him if he's ever been charged for a crime in the past.
Larry replies, "Yes, the same one Deputy Beddow was charged with."

The main difference being this: While both were accused of driving while under the influence by qualified, truthful members of law enforcement, only Beddow chose to defame the deputy who arrested him by accusing that deputy of wrongdoing. Either the Champaign County deputy was lying or he was incompetent. Regardless, he had proof of Beddow's crime and only lost based on a technicality. If Beddow hadn't been an insider to the criminal justice system, he wouldn't have known how to squirm his way out of it.

One can only wonder if an even worse scenario than the one involving Larry Mills will take place on Nick Beddow's watch. What if this happens:

An intoxicated man drives back into Danville on I-74 (we'll call him Ed "Ponder" Miller). The man crashes his car and kills an innocent bystander. If, hypothetically, Ed is also a member of the Vermilion County criminal justice system, and if Ed's sophisticated wife assists him with the intricate workings of that system, would Deputy Nick Beddow's credibility come under fire before a jury in Judge Claudia Anderson's courtroom?

... While I am not qualified enough to judge, I am curious enough to ponder "what if?"...

I was held 35 days on a felonie with out a preliminary hearing, The statute requires you have it within 30 day's or it is a clear violation of illinois due process. Judge Anderson, The states atty knew it as well as the crappy atty i paid FIVE THOUSAND dollars to { MARK CHRISTOFF }. Now i have to file a post conviction hearing to vacate my plea after i found out recently they knowingly and willingly violated my civil rights they are supposed to uphold. It shows the law here does as it want's with no regard to the rule of laws of this state or the constitution of the united states. Now here is ironic part i have to file this in vermilion county the same one that screwed me in the first place. The good news is i can sue the crooked S.O.B.'S in Federal court and they are going to pay me for the 2 1/2 years i could not work because of their incompetent system. As well as pay back the fines and fee's I have paid them. If I win there I am coming after my money I paid your sorry ass MARK CHRISTOFF. They also sent two people to prison who went to court the same time I did. Believe it or not the only one who stood up for us was the PUBLIC DEFENDER who we wrongly believe to be incompetent. If I were a Beddow, Miller, Lewis or a cop, prosecutor a county judge or Ablinger or Piatte or Aquino or any of the other legal crook, their friend or family the law would have worked for me. FACE THE FACTS look at the city and county payroll see how many of the last names are the same. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN this is the most corrupt state in the union.
