The BLACK FOREST of northern Pennsylvania has long been considered the last stronghold for wild cougars to survive.....
We are conducting an unbias research study...have gathered over 1,500 sightings across PA, including confirmed tracks & pictures of America's largest cat.
We need new sightings of the big cats known as cougar, mountain lion, puma or panther in the Black Forest of northern Clinton, southern Potter & Cameron Counties from early 1900s thru today.(Jan. 13, 2009)

My son and I had taken a nice drive up Dry Run to Abes Fork and into the back side of Hyner State Park on Hyner Park Road which is all in Clinton Co. Just before you enter the back of the park, there's a pipe line. Didn't know what it was walking in the road so I sped up to see. It turned to the left and sure enough, that 4 foot long tail, I knew exactly what it was. Could not believe my eyes! Having lived in PA for half my life, I have been in denial that these cats existed in PA. NOT ANY MORE. THEY ARE HERE! In addition to this sighting, a mere 3 hours later, there was another about 100yds from our camp. I had 2 emotions: 1. Freaking scared sh1tless, 2. Too AWESOME! Can’t wait to see one again. Got to have that camera ready.

In June of 2002 my wife and I were on are way home from Lock Haven and roughly 200 yds on on the east side of the "Lions Den" there was a strange looking animal crouching across the road. I hurried to get to that point and there we saw a mountain lion jump from the road and into the wooded area on the other side of Dremel's land. This was second time that I has seen a mountain lion; the first was in 1998 when I was working on the Hyner Run detour route. This was approx 1.5 miles headed up the mountain from the entrance to Hyner Run State Park.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Cancer

You feel the urge to move onward, powered by your wisdom: when you're right, you're right. You may feel that any further explanation is unnecessary, but the people you're dealing with might need it spelled out for them. Take the time to draw a picture or use smaller vocabulary words to get your point across, Cancer. A public demonstration will probably prove to be the last word on the subject.
