i never said that the employers in this country aren't just as guilty as the illegals. of course they can't work unless some unscrupulous, greedy employer hires them......that's a no brainer! i also blame both governments for looking the other way...america for letting them slip in under the radar and mexico for letting the u.s. bear the brunt of their own economic burden.
at the turn of the century, america took in any european that could fit on a boat because we needed to construct the country. but the main difference between then and now is that the immigrant of those days had qualities that today's immigrant doesn't have....pride and humility. they were grateful for just the opportuntiy they received from this country....i know my grandparents were. they didn't go on public assistance, they learned english and they got a second job. they didn't have benefits either and they didn't demonstrate in the streets demanding their "rights". sorry, but you don't deserve the same benefits as an american if you are not an american. if you don't want to enter legally and pay what amerioan citizens pay, stay where you belong....in your own country.
I do agree with part two of your post. When you said "you", I hope you were not referring to me - I am a citizen, Puerto Rican decent, my father retired with 20 years in the U.S. Army.

Yes, the climate has changed. This does not detract from the fact that the actual fault lies not with poor countries - these types of countries will always exist. Our country, and our business culture, created this problem. Since you've acknowledged this to be true, our government has placed upon itself the responsibility to find an equitable way of addressing the issue. To simply say "everybody out!", is a politically correct way to appease the masses, but not the morally correct one. To crack down from this point on is correct - not to deport the people whom were enticed here. For lack of a better analogy, this is tantamount to treating a human being like a condom - once used, throw it away / it served it's purpose.

Force the illegal aliens to register for citizenship - if not, then deport, since they obviously do not wish to be part of this country. I also don't believe in making Spanish second language in this country, even though I speak Spanish. I believe in learning the language of the country you wish to call home. I've been all over the world, and this country is the only one that does this. Cultural identity will not be relinquished by doing this.

America is 2/3 on its way to becoming the cesspool from which all these people ran away from. They flee from these defective countries and yet, instead of becoming AMERICAN they try and turn thier neighborhoods into little bastions of the crapy county they escaped. Ofcourse they are having more kids....we are going to maintain them for them. Or should I say our tax dollars. America the home of the FREE...RIDE.

Exploitation of people of third world countries causes them to want to come here. Provide a comprehensive solution that addresses all the causes. If not, accept the consequences of your exploitative ways. The chickens will come to roost.
It's too bad how ignorant you are. The sad thing is that many people are just like you and vote. Immigration problems don't stem from "exploitation," they stem from internal discord. If America stopped "exploiting" Mexico -- then Mexico would turn into Somalia. The US is Mexico's number one trading partner and buys much of it's oil. The US has a vested interest in not "exploiting" anyone. Exploited people can't buy exports. Of course, a systematic ignorance of economics (perpetuated by the grossly inept President Obama) has indoctrinated people like you into believing the distortions perpetuated by thinly veiled Marxist-Leninists. The whole "exploitation of the worker" myth is what led to the Soviet Union.. and we saw how well that economic system worked. People immigrate to the US because it's the land of opportunity. Perhaps if you spend some time outside of the United States for more than a minute, you'll understand the world much better than you do. Living in Long Beach or wherever you're from has insulated you from the reality of economics. The liberal ultra-left has ruined California's economy, yet people in California still have the audacity to comment on economics about which they know nothing. Stop electing Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer et al and THEN maybe you'll be taken seriously. California has no leg on which to stand when it comes to discussing immigration -- your state effectively harbors criminals, thanks to the Democrat leadership that needs the illegals in order to steal elections. Partnering with ACORN, I'm sure that illegals vote regularly in your state -- especially since ID isn't required.

They have the right to be treated humanly or are we Americans as inhuman as all other countries make us out to be?
Charity is not something that can be mandated then it becomes theft. We have laws I am sure there are a lot of murderers that would love amnesty. They are treated humanly but are not free to break our laws and hurt our citizens. Illegals need to be deported and just as with any crime all of their ill gotten gains must be forfeit whicvh is everything they gained by being here ILLEGALY. Enforce all laws or enforce no laws. There is no grey area.

So what you are saying is you have what I want so I break into your home and rob you blind and you are supposed to make it easier for me to steal from you on a regular basis and while I am living in your home I can rob your neighbors, And if I rape your wife and kill your children will you invite me to bring my amigos I am sure you will. If all laws are not enforced then no laws will be respected.

Actualy we have shown what we do when our government takes adavnrtage of us. It is called the American Revolutionary war. We are more than just a host for the parasites of the world. And may soon have to remind our current government who they work for.

When is this "illegal" immigrant business going to stop? Remember the U.S. was settled by immigrants, however, there were already folks living at the mouth of the entrance...indians! There were Mexicans living in or about this region! The so-called Americans took the land away from the indian and Mexicans! Who's the "immigrant" folks? Just because the locals were over taken in war for the territories doesn't make it legal. Theft is theft! Don't give me "the spoils of war" baloney!
The way I recall the indians sold out their own. You do know the indians didn't have horses or guns or whiskey. Yet now most of the reservations (which are areas that the indians own by the way) are full of drunk indians with houses paid for by the U.S. government.
That's why they don't care about anything, they sold out for free stuff. Sad but true.
The indians didn't understand what owning land meant.
So when they traded their land for whiskey or horses or guns, they figured it out later and now they are slaves to their own ways.
Now in Mexico, they killed the indians and the ones they didn't they ousted to live in the mountains. Reservations in Mexico?
Uh no. Not going to find them.

It seems like every problem in the world today is rooted in race and religion in one way or another.
The melting pot experience don't seem to be working that
well. Racial tensions and intolerance to religion are higher than ever, leaving clear cut lines between the races and cultures.
This gives serious doubts to the one world no race agenda world governments seem to be encouraging and may have the reverse affect of stimulating nationalism.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Sagittarius

You're in a strange mood, Sagittarius. You're feeling impatient and cross, and nothing is quite right. No wonder, with Mercury and Mars retrograde, under a Full Moon lunar eclipse! But is it necessary to be quite so contrary, so determined to do the opposite of what's expected of you? Try to sort out the problem sooner rather than later, then do something energetic and therapeutic so you can burn off your nervous energy. Then you're all set for a great New Year's Eve!
