You know why bagpipers walk when they play?

They're trying to get away from the noise!

Is there anyone among you people that can at least show enough decency to respect the firefighters who died in the line of duty protecting and saving citizens like yourselves? Not one comment from your hearts just foolishness. Not a kind word for their family, friends or fellow firefighters who feel the pain of their deaths. Now thats a damn shame, I guess none of you ever knew this kind of loss.

Take your self-righteous rherotic and stuff it. I've got more sympathy in my little finger than you have in your entire body for their losses. But just because I made a joke about pipers means I can't "at least show enough decency" to you, huh? I have many times expressed condolences and sympathies to families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. Just because I didn't do it today, I'm a bad person? One of my neighbors just happens to be a firefighter AND a piper, and he LOVED my joke, I've heard him repeat it to others! If anything ever happened to him I'd be devestated! So if the only exercise you're getting these days is jumping to conclusions (that are wrong, I might add), you might want to give it a rest.

your one helluva nasty woman. One of those guys was my dear friend and I don't know what you did to show sympathy to anybody becuase you don't sound like you have it in you, or maybe the heat got to you. If you didn't take my post with a little guilt you would'nt have written such a bitchy comeback.

Sorry for your loss, but how would I have known that, the article never stated that YOU lost a dear friend, and if you had ever read any of my previous posts pertaining to loss of ANYone's life, you would have noted that I do indeed express my deepest sympathies and condolances to people who have lost loved ones. Again, jumping to conclusions must be the only exercise you get. If you hadn't bitched in the first place, I never would have responded to you. I wasn't the one who made the crack about them going out and getting drunk...

Ms. LynneB: we were just looking at this after a brother called it to our attention. I decided to write, maybe you'll like me better as I am a woman, and my spelling might meet your rigid requirements. I don't know who you are ASSuming this person is, but you are trying to make him out to be someone he's not, and you are pretty condescending and sarcastic about it. His spelling might not be perfect, but his bravery surpasses that little imperfection. This is a man who goes back into a burning home to rescue a child's dog, but all you see is a couple of spelling errors. As far as the only exercise he gets, when was the last time you put out a raging fire in 90-plus heat? Do you know how it feels to see a brother and friend for years carried out of a fire dead? Did you stand at full attention watching their bodies put on their engine for the last time? To begin with, you jumped all over his case when he posted, yet not one word he said singled you out, so you are the one getting exercise by jumping to conclusions defending yourself. You really need to learn how to be a kinder gentler soul. Pardon my run-on sentences if they offend you.I've spoken my piece, so don't worry, I won't be coming back on here with a reply if you are going to respond. You just aren't worth it.

Oh for pete's sake, I'm NOT "trying to make him out to be someone he's not". I wasn't condescending OR sarcastic. All this over a joke? And I suppose you think you're kinder and gentler by berating me when the whole thing was none of your business to begin with. In the first sentence of my second response, I said "Sorry for your loss" did I not?? It's right there for anyone to see, IF you choose to see it. But you'd rather focus on my supposed condescension than my condolences. How kind and gentle of you. Perhaps you aren't worth it either.

Hey there, what's this supposed to be a compliment? How stupid of us to assume that you are assuming, now what made anybody think that? But you are one of those folk who are always right. Get over yourself, everyone else has.
