Alleged bank robber found dead in hotel

A Bridgeport man wanted in connection with a weekend bank robbery in Westport was found dead of an alleged drug overdose in a Milford hotel room Monday, said Lt. David Kassay of the Westport police.

The day before, the man, Edward Holt, 54, allegedly walked into People s United Bank at Stop & Shop at 1790 Post Road East at about 11:30 a.m., approached a teller, announced the robbery and left a note, Kassay said.

The robber did not display a weapon, Kassay said. The teller handed over more than $2,000. Read more

This is his son, really didn't know my father, just met my Grandmom and the rest of the family on super bowl sunday. thanks for the nice comments, anyone who knew him knows that he wasn't a bad man just caught up bad stuff.

Eddie,tried to be a good father and a good husband but he didn't have the up bringing to be that person and he didn't know how to find it in himself.I never hated him for all his wrong doings,he did teach me allot about the different kind of people in the world and I never closed my eyes again, I always keep them open.Eddie I hope you are at peace now and if you could watch over the boys,maybe from up there it will be easier, I know you always had them in your heart.

It saddens me to know that you did not get to experience the Eddy that I knew back in the day, yes, he had his faults, as we all do, but he made up for those in so many other ways, I am sure he will be missed, and remembered in only one way, a ggod way, as it should be...

You can find family members very easily by going the genealogy route. Maybe it would be very nice to connect with family you didn't know you had. Good luck.

I have tried that route somewhat I think . However there are so many holts and I have literally zero information. I have never met or talked to anyone on that side of the family. His name was not put on my birth certificate I am told for many reasons . So I can not go that route either . Anyone with any information at all where or how I can get in contact with any type of family would really be great .
