Lets not forget that teachers, firemen, police, hospitals auto workers, miners, dock people, town people and many many more all have unions, the only thing you see unions doing to wreck this country is to get fair wages and health and pension for people, but the wealthy can do no wrong hey, you better get back to school or open your eyes beyond sports and your ego's, because if we had no unions to date your life would be alot worse now, more than you can even imagine. You bet I shop at Walmart. And not one of their employees was forced to work there. They are free to find a job elsewhere. I used to work for a trucking company. We were asked by the company to loan back a small portion of our pay to keep the company going until they could reorganize. We were willing, the union said no. The company went out of business. We lost our jobs. The union reps kept theirs. So much for unions.

Another place going down because of the irrational union demands.. They have health insurance and a lot of benefits, Why they don't leave things the way they are until the situation of the country gets better.?

As a customer, I can tell you, corporate greed or no, higher than average union wages or no, there just isn't anybody in your darn a&p, haven't you noticed? Prices are higher than shop-rite here in my area of northern nj., where they started cheapening basic food stuff prices as soon as the bottom fell out last October. Coffee down by $5/39 ounce, slats of tomato puree and paste, large cans 12/$8. Pasta 3/1.50. People going broke could still have good food and some money leftover for vegetables, fruit and to visit the meat department. Not so at a&p. Busy, busy store, shop-rite. Crowded and personnel eveyrwhere to give service. I'm not going to subsidize your checks. You have to be bright enough to recognize competition and to compete. I don't think anybody high or low knows what they are doing at a&p. Go ahead, union hogs, break the store and lose your jobs. Then you can all go and become CEO's!
