Well, that's easy - because anyone we would have passion for is smart enough to know they don't want the job! We're not going to get someone in office who actually CARES about the little people. That's a pipe dream. So the best we can do is with the lesser of 2 evils, in this case, Romney. Too many people have partaken of the Kool-Ade too often. It's a sad situation, but there is a glimmer of hope that we can get out of this alive if Obama loses in November.

Forget passion, just some one who doesn't scare me half to death, which Romney does. McCain had a shot with me until he brought Palin on.

As you said-no common sense, changes his stance on issues depending who he is talking to. Although he may not have anything to hide on his taxes, it doesn't look good that he won't release them. Doesn't he get how bad that makes him look? Does he not care?

I don't think Romney is clueless at all- he can't have been, while being so successful in real life. He did pretty well as governor, too. He doesn't seem to have passion and conviction when he speaks, but this may be deliberate.... half of america is now mentally ill with liberalism, so he may be using 'baby talk' to avoid offending the sheeple. He's no Reagan, but he's lightyears better than the Messiah.
