what they gonna build there,something for the MOLIMYAMS to destroy probably,the old neighborhood is disgraceful

I grew up in that area. Back in the 60's That was THE MALL for us in the Treeland area. Barkers and Pantry Pride (the supermarket) were nice stores. The "big mall" was Trumbull with E.J. Korvettes and Hills Supermarket.

Even when Kings came in it wasn't bad. But over the years it turned into a dump. That Food World is a dump, and there was a series of crap stores that came and went.

i too grew up in the neighborhood got caught skipping school in barkers thats when the HUNS motorcycle club had the entire tenth floor of the towers and would take there motorcycles up the parking garage elevator up to 10Th to there "pad".then you would remember the old fair child wheeler park behind beardsley and possibly know what the stone castle was used for. my grandmother worked at korvetts

What kind of stores are going to be built there,hopefully something the neighboorhood needs like maybe NAPPY CUTS,KFC PERHAPS or my all-time favorite a new Jamaican Bobsled CAFE

i also grew up in that area - huntington inn -pantry pride and the hill over to the left was a great party place. vinny's is still great. i wonder what they'll put up over there-the hood went down hill fast.

i think the "pit" was over there and they used to call it the "turtle house".

i lived in tampa and you couldn't get a decent pizza there either. i'll bet if someone up here that knows how to make a good NY style pizza and opened up some franchises down south they would make a killing.

i do when i lived on william street we would walk to pauls pizza ,there was a bakery a few blocks down on noble i used to work at skydels
