How long has Doug lived in the area? Didn't he live in Kingwood WV at one time?

Perhaps you should look up the medical definition of post partum. Are you now diagnosing people? Know the meaning of the words you state. Beth's youngest child was 3 years old. Post partum had nothing to do with it. Or are you quoting Doug?

Beth should have never tolerated that nut. She should have left as soon as he started abusing her.

And actually if I had to live with him, I wouldn't have been depressed. I would've just kicked him in the you know what.

I've know Doug for years. I've known Beth since they met. She would always threaten divorce & to take the kids away from him when she couldn't get what she wanted from him. She used the threat of divorce & the kids to control him. When he got fed up & told her he wanted a divorce she realized that she couldn't control him anymore and just lost it. It is a tragic situation. Ever since Doug told her he was filing for divorce her behavior has been erratic and doug & his family wanted to get her help but she refused. Never in a million years would have thought it would have came to this.

Beth's maiden name is Burkhammer and I will continue to refer to her as that. I consider Kraus an insult.

I have went to school with Beth since we were in Kindergarten. I am so shocked by ALL of this. I don't know who did what or who didn't do what, but the fact is a woman is dead and so are two small children. I'm sure that the facts and circumstances will come out soon enough and until then this speculation (and that's all it really is) isn't doing anyone any good.
I haven't talked to or seen Beth for several years, but my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and to the families of the small children.
It's all very sad...

I would be curious to see what Doug's ex wife would say about him. I'm sure she's been interviewed!

yeah i think its tradgic all together im not going to say anything else because when the facts come out they wont be accepted by some people. and why would they? i wouldnt ever ever ever want to accept anything like that. i just pray for all families at this point. i can only imagine the pain both families are going through. i think the best thing to do is think about how we can help the families heel. adding my 2 cents and others doing as i am isnt helping anyone heel.

Unfortunately, the May-Berry police of Lewis County or WV State Police will probably never investigate. It will be open and shut case, murder/ suicide. So sad for the families. praying for all involved.

I don't care how he was, why is it o.k. to kill your children,? Sure he may have been abusive, who knows? But does that justify killing 2babies. Leave with them, get awayyou would rather kill them.?There are places you can go.Give them to your family, then kill yourself, why take your kids with you? He worked? Leave then, go to family, why kill your kids?

No facts say she done it. Why aren't you considering her. And if it was her why would she take his kids and not burn down the house instead of a old barn. That he was planning too knock down??

If all of her (so called friends) knew she was depressed and was being abused then WHY didnt you all help and save these kids?????? She murdered her Kids and all you can do is analyze her troubles in life.....well again WHERE THE HELL WAS HER FRIENDS BEFORE SHE DID WHAT SHE DID.....AND GET OFF THE FATHER...HES NOT THE MURDERER....SHE IS!

She was obviously looking for help. And yet she is dead and so are her kids. He is sitting pretty in his house. When he noticed the barn was on fire his wife's purse and car at the resident why didn't he call police or fire department? Instead he called friends and her mom. Now why would she leave without her purse or car. He shot her then the kids because they witnessed it. Put them all in the barn burnt it and any evidence that he done it. Luckily us marshals are dealing with this and hopefully they will find enough evidence on her or the kids bodies to show he's a crack pot and done this. He was talking about the kids viewing and who was allowed and not allowed to come before the bodies were even removed from the barn. He's a controlling nut and now a murder. He knew the kids would want to be with there mom. He could stand being second best. Or maybe he was afraid someone would be a better father then he.

Sorry, he isn't sitting pretty in his home......Now they say they have a pistol recovered in the fire.So he shot them a nd left the pistol at the scene? Hitman left the gun on scene? Doesn't make sense, does it?

How do you know the exact time of death? Were you there? I'm sure the autopsy will tell the story.
And by the way, dead people do not set fires.
Okay dumbass... Really? Its a far stretch to believe she shot her kids set the fire and killed herself huh. Lets think about it, would you want to burn to death. Dont think so. Beth was a nasty bitch who put Doug through hell. Its sad he asked for a divorce repeatedly but then couldnt follow through because he was too afraid of what would happen to his children. That crazy bitch needed committed, he should have had her ass sent to Bateman. She played to victim game and look what happened. Two children are gone, lives cut short.
Oh by the way Justice For Beth... Do us a favor take a long walk on a short pier.

Yep. It's a gun registered to him. It was found in barn with the bodies he dumped. No remorse. For his kids or the women who is there mother. As long as he is free and sitting outside a prison. He's sitting pretty.

She may of been crazy. But look at the controlling nut ball she married. After years of that anyone would at there wits end. He's crazy. Hope he messed up and they find enough evidence that convicts him and allows him to rot in a small box.
