So I have heard two different stories about this, which one is it, did she do it or someone else. Why?

All I know is she had threatened to do something before, Doug had tried to get custody due to this.Seems by past threats, she likely did it.He loved his kids, maybe not that great of a husband, but he did love those kids.

To all those out there thinking she did it.. ask yourself this… why would she set fire to the barn and let all of the animals out? Why is it that no one saw the fire.. and why is it that the fire officials say the fire appeared to have been burnt out for a while when they got there… so who is to say that this Doug wasn’t upset.. maybe they were having problems… why couldn’t he have shot them all and put them in the barn and set the fire … he conveniently worked the night shift.. only to come home and “discover” that the barn had burnt and them inside… Instead of jumping to conclusions about who done it or why.. or even to go as far as saying may she rot in hell … look at it from all angles .. don’t just join the band wagon and throw stones… regardless of what happened and who did it … it is a tragedy that will affect many in this community .. instead of trashing the people stand by the families and friend they have lost three people they love…

Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors???

Let me get this straight, because I've never heard anyone try to justify another person's killing of children, if that indeed is the case. It sounds like you are saying that it's OK for the children to die rather than go to custody of the father, is that what you really mean?

Jesus. And you are the one telling other to burn in hell?

Listen, I know what I'm talking about.!Doug was checked by state police, he had no signs of gun powder, wearing the same clothes from the evening before, no signs of killing anyone! She had postpartum depression.Had been treated, with no success. She shot both children in the head, set the fire, shot herself. Why? No one will ever know.Horrible things happen. This is one of the worst. His family could have took these children, his mom is in the medical field, raising other small children! It seems like she either was psychotic at the time or had spite work in mind.

Are you seriously saying that IF she took her childrens lives it is ok because maybe she didnt want them to be with their father???!! I dont know any of them BUT, IF she ended those childrens lives, there is NO excuse for doing so. I seriously hope you DO NOT have children if this is the kind of thing you condone!

God have mercy on our souls. This woman was obviously CRAZY. Children are so very innocent. They did not deserve to die this way. A very, very sad in Lewis County, WV.

Is Doug going to split the life insurance policy that he has on Beth and the children with you people?

Is that why you are starting a smear campaign against an innocent person?

Beth is innocent. Is Doug?????????? ;)

The situation is heartbreaking, regardless of how it happened. Those poor babies. The news said they were 5 and 3? It's just so sad. Sending love and prayers to their families for peace.

Doug Kraus is a good man. Who has lost his everything. It is senseless to bash him on here, Justice for beth. Not many men in West Virginia dont have some sort of a gun collection. What do you consider massive? Does owning guns and participating in gun forums on line make you a killer ? I think not. Having life insurance policies doesnt make you a killer it means you are a responsible person. Do you have insurance policies ? I bet you do. So you must be a killer right ?

I'm pretty sure most men in West Virginia don't have an arsenal of 40+ guns in their house.

And no, I do not have any life insurance policies, nor do I plan on getting them.

He won't receive life insurance for suicide. So much for that. Wonder why work had him on camera the entire night, working at Sharpe Hospital?
