I want to know why people who have no handicap placard can park in the Handicap zone across from the DQ? I have taken pictures of this infraction,if anyone gets a ticket I have a video showing cars parking there and the PD just drives on by. The precedent here that the PD is establishing is that they look the other way when it comes to enforcing that handicap parking law. If he goes inside that establishment and just gives them a warning the girl at the front desk will let me know. Just because they own that business doesn't mean they can break the law.

Once again, that is a law enforcement issue. Make your complaint to the PD. It is not the CM's job to deal with that, except to the extent it has a bearing on his supervision and evaluation of the PD employees through the Police Chief.

It's the Cheif thats ignoreing the Law. Do you think he's gonna listen to a complaint against himself? I doubt it.
Who's authority does the PD come under the Clerks? I don't think so. Been there done that, two years ago not going to go through that process again, just remember if you get a ticket for parking in a handicap zone I got the Modus operende video of the PD.(just keep on cruising by).

You still need to file a written complaint with the PD. Copy the CM on your complaint. See if anyone responds to you. You has to take some action to complain formally. You cannot expect that kind of an issue to be resolved on an internet forum. If they all ignore you or do not give you a satisfactory explanation, then go to city council meeting, sign up to speak and present your complaint. There is a public comment session at the beginning of each meeting, and you can address the council for 5 minutes.

Im not that old,nor am I that young, but I cant recall the pros/cons of the old way.I do know that, being around the old city building all the time and listening, that I dont recall all the bs that is going on now by having the CM. Cost the City over $80,000 year for this position with all the benefits ect. We need change . That would pave a lot of streets. That would be every year too. We could get the city cleaned up in 5 years that's $400,000 in 5 years folks.

Really, read this. Then get the CM motivated to fix the sidewalks so I can run my wheeel chair to the Grocery store without wrecking. Recent Lawsuits In recent years, many public entities have faced arduous ADA lawsuits. In 2004, a class of disabled people sued the City of Sacramento, alleging that its public sidewalks were inaccessible to those with disabilities. A settlement agreement requires Sacramento to allocate 20 percent of its Transportation Fund annually for 30 years to ensure disabled access to pedestrian rights of way. The settlement also requires the city to submit semiannual ADA compliance reports to an outside monitor for three years. As part of the settlement, the city had to pay $800,000 in attorneys’ fees to the plaintiffs.

Can you see a wheeler going down US 50 on a wheeler and the PD give tham a ticket. This town has been very good at looking the other way on the handy cap for the last 60 years. Under mayors, council members and CM's.
