Weston, WV, APRIL 26, 2013: Etech a global business process outsourcer, has announced plans to expand their West Virginia operations to include a third center in the Weston, West Virginia market.

Etech entered the Southern West Virginia Labor Market in 1997. As Berry Direct, they started as a small subsidiary of BellSouth with approximately 25 employees. Today, Etech is a privately owned, global organization that is a major employer in the Southern West Virginia market and in India. Etech employs just over 1,500 team members throughout their four call centers in Charleston, WV, Martinsburg, WV, Gandhinagar, India and Baroda, India.

According to Matt Rocco, Chief Operating Officer, "We are excited to announce these expansion plans. The city of Weston has been wonderful to work with and we feel that they will be able to provide the labor market to meet the demands of our customers." Our Fortune 100 customers continue to seek call center partners who have access to telemarketing skills within their labor markets. We feel that Weston will give us this talent."

In August of 2006, Etech teamed up with Governor Joe Manchin's economic development office to release a RFP to target West Virginia communities that would be able to provide labor to staff the phone representatives that Etech was seeking. After reviewing the 20+ responses to the RFP and conducting numerous site visits to multiple West Virginia communities, Etech selected the city of Weston to stage their next center.

"Many of the customer service jobs that we provide are part time and night time / Saturday positions. College students are a perfect fit for many of these jobs. It has always been a priority of Etech to develop good relationships with the local colleges and universities. One benefit we offer to working students is tuition reimbursement." stated Rocco. "Since 2002, Etech has paid its student employees over $500,000 in reimbursement for college tuition. We have already begun to develop a strong working relationship with West Virginia Wesleyan College. We will be using some of their classroom space for supervisor training while our permanent site is being finalized and prepared for operations in Lewis County."

Etech expects to open for operation in July of 2013 and will eventually grow to 500+ positions in Weston.
