OMG..what a terrible way to die! Poor little girl didn't stand a chance. People like that give Christians a bad name. Too bad 'common sense' wasn't part of their doctrine. The dad had friends that were doctors, yet the last time the girl saw one was when she was 3??!!!

God wants us to pray, yeah but he also said our body is his temple...treat it with respect & take care of it. If these people truly believed prayer alone would save their daughter they need to be put in a mental institution & give the other kids a chance...at a normal life. God be with these children at the loss of their sister.

Guess they didn't pray hard enough

That is really sad and angers me.
They should have taken her to the doctor and then prayed. Some people are just plain ignorant.
Hopefully nothing happens to the other children.

It comes to show you that there is no GOD!

I wonder if they still believe in the GOD they were praying too.

Poor little girl, someone should have done something quick. It was not her fault her parents were looney. She did not deserve to die like that.

I've been praying that God would let me win the Powerball - last Saturday I won three dollars. I guess next time I'll have to ask for the other five numbers as well. God - You have one sense of humor. Ha Ha.

The other children have been removed from that home, fortunately. Police chieft Vergin is apparently sympathetic to them and does not want to arrest them. If a child were only injured by negligence the parents would be arrested but the child can die from deliberate negligence and nothing be done. All the children of this country can be killed off by their parents who are insane enough to let their illnesses go untreated. At the very least these Madeline's parents are mentally ill and ought to be in an insane asylum.

Well, It appears as if the parents of the deceased child didn't have enough faith, so as stated by some of my Christian friends. Either you believe or not.
There is not gray area. Either you choose or you don't, period.

I'm a non believer because of this type of event and many others during the past 63 years of my life, where prayer has been to no avail. Remember, God is not required to heal. I believe the last sentence is stated in the scripture.

So, now if the courts decide to punish the parents of this child, you will see a backlash from the churches due to the fact the parents believed and trusted in
God. That is the parents right to believe in what ever they choose. This should be another interesting legal battle. God verses the Courts?

Remember, I choose not to believe and that is my choice, even thought those of religion will tell me I going to hell or you can't get to the Father except through the Son.

Again that is THEIR CHOICE not mine, and besides this is my opinion.

Sorry, My Karma should have read, May Karma prevail.

I also believe the laws should change regarding the health of a child. I think when a child is ill and the child knows something isn't right with their health, plus the parents are not providing options for the child that may save the childs life, then the child should be able to seek medical help without the intervention of their parents.

Oh no, I forgot, the parents will not have control over their children, right? The government will tell us what is to be done?

How could any parent stand by and watch their daughter get weaker and sicker and do nothing, but pray? How could other family members, neighbor, friends sit on the hands and do nothing to help this poor little girl. Finally an aunt makes a call, too little, too late. Everyone that stood by and let this child die should be held accountable. This is a senseless act of child abuse. I pray none of the other children get sick.

I know hundreds of families that pray everyday for their sick children and have exhausted all means to get them well, all to no avail many times, because there is no cure for pediatric brain tumors. There is a treatment for diabetes!

Don't get me wrong, I believe in the power of prayer, but I also believe God gave us doctors to help heal the sick too.

My prayers are with the parents & family of "Kara". The Neumanns have more "REAL FAITH" than any of us could ever fathim! Real Faith has no boundries & no reason, it's beyond our imagination, that is why it it called "FAITH"! This is a truely loving family, who deeply loved & honestly believed Kara would be healed, though the outcome was tragic, it wasn't meant to be a "media circus", it was a family's worst nightmare, to lose a child...You all need to stop judging & look at your lives & your mistakes, before you judge people you don't know! May the Lord Bless you all.

These parents should be held accountable and the church should stay out of it.
