Nah - j/k...what a joke....all committees of things that have never done a damn thing for anyone - except inflate this man's signature ego. Same old crap - who cares which one of these guys get elected; it won't make any difference one way or the other, and you're a fool if you think otherwise.

Four Town Meetings ago, Mr. Obuchowski and Ms. Partridge claimed that the broken system for financing education was a top priority, especially for towns like Grafton. Since then little, if anything, has been done to fix it. Doesn't Mr. Obuchowski think ANYONE else in his district could do as well, or likely better, as he can? Is he the ONLY person in his district that has the skills to be a good legislator? He's been in Montpelier WAY too long...it's time for someone, anyone, else.

I see the same ignorant, negative do-nothings are still flapping their jaws and being against anyone or anything positive. Mike and Carolyn have given years of hard work and passed legislation for the good of many. You're right, let's throw them out and put someone else in....someone who can change the system all by themselves......let's see, who could that be???? maybe you 'time for new blood' or is it FRESH BLOOD?

I was kind of wondering myself why, after the departure of our heroic Patty O'Donnell (R) Vernon / Guilford why no other as wise as she has stepped forward? Have Republican politicians in Windham County become extinct? I myself haven't stepped forward because alas I am merely part of the vanishing Vermont middle class.

In response to I Vote Vermont, take a look around, other states are feeling the effects of deregulated capitalism (plutocracy) much worse than we. Republican politicians are near extinct in Windham Co. because of the politically informed electorate that resides here. Wonder why the middle class is vanishing? I suggest you look at our military industrial complex, the insurance cos., big pharma, big banks, grossly overpaid CEOs, etc. and you'll likely find the bandits. Mike and Carolyn are champions for the people and most of the people of Windham Co. know that.

In response I offer a statement that is not my own and unfortunatly I am unable to recall the wise person who originally printed it, "If 50% of the population is recieving public assistance, 50% of the population will vote for the candidate who supports increasing public assistance."

http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/50000...

This is not to infer that 50% of people in Bellows Falls are on public assistance, but to point out that what you name intellect is in reality voting with the pocketbook.

On another point, If Mike is a champion of the people, why then does he support putting an to end so many Union jobs in Southern Vermont?

Because the aged and decrepit plant is a danger now to many more people than the ones who benefit from employment there.

You say "This is not to infer that 50% of people in Bellows Falls are on public assistance, but to point out that what you name intellect is in reality voting with the pocketbook.".

So you're implying that an overwhelming majority of those on public assistance turn out at the polls. This is how you think Mike and Carolyn keep getting elected? Ever been a poll watcher? BF residents are the hardest to turn out and that's where there's the highest rate of public assistance. Something wrong with your logic here. I agree that most all people vote with their pocketbook, a majority in Windham Co. understanding investment in community (the politically informed ones) and a minority (self concerned or uninformed).

It is just as important for a politician as for the average citizen to base such decisions of valid information and put aside opinions formed on emotions.
