Suprised Miss St Martin did not have more to say. It seems to me when we were at a District 11 EMS meeting the whole idea behind this whole "non profit" ambulance was her's and her boyfriends Jesse Moore, in fact Mary Hoyt was not on any of the paperwork anywhere, their whole idea was to take over the ambulance service and make sure no one with the name Lefere had anything to do with it, Before anyone jumps and screams these are all lies ask to see the paperwork or look at the minutes from the board meeting. It is sad to see Lefevre close after so many years in business, like him or not there are people who are alive today, people that are healthy today because of the employees he had working for him. Good luck with the non profit status your trying to gain, I for one would not want Jesse or Dave Bellimer anywhere near me if I needed help.

Really sad that BF went out & hired Holy Cross & let Lefevre, who had been serving this area for many years, just fall by the wayside. Shame on BF yet again. Gerry put his heart & soul into that company.

Not sure about the other people who Carl mentioned, But I would have Jesse work on me or anyone in my family any day of the week, He is a good emt and a lot smarter then you may think, And to NH dad relax a little, everyone is entitled to their opinion, these forums do nothing but spread hate, and Green Ts, your 100% correct, the demise of this company was at the hands of Shane Okeefe and Lamont Barrett.

Who else was on that board? Ann Dibernardo, that's who. What was the reason for that contract to be expired?

The contract did not expire, the town was trying to aquire the dam at the time and were cutting cost and corners where they could, so after the budget was voted on they decieded Gerry was charging to much, sent out proposals for EMS coverage, GCA and Gerry bid, problem was GCA already knew what Lefevre was charging and cut his price in half. GCA is a good company with good people but that was not done fairly at all. They screwed over Lefevre to save a few bucks for their dam. Yes your correct Ann Dibernardo was on the board, and she has to be one of the dirtiest politicians in Rockingham. She looks out for what is good for her and her husband, not what is good for the people who elect her, and she will stand there and lie right to your face, she is my neighbor I know this. Good luck to the people who worked at Lefevre, and thank you Gerry for your service to the community.

Bellows Falls has become one huge toilet bowl.
Its time to get rid of these corrupt people that run the town and flush the turds down the drain.

Mary keep your head held high, because you had nothing to do with this. First that pos Will took what he could from you and your and family and took off. Then you put your trust in these people who were there just to undermine you. I would like to thank you and your family for donating your time to have your ambulance at every pee-wee football game free of charge. Golden Cross wanted to charge the league $100.00 plus for every game they were at. Karma will prevail.

Did I say something to offend you NH Dad ? I did not mean to, Simple truth of the matter is those 3 people, Jesse,Dave and Kate have tried to undermine Mary from day 1, It was all about them taking over and removing the Lefevre name from anything to do with that service. Simple fact. And now that Lefevre is closed it is gonna be fun to sit back and watch them get a EMS providers Lic in VT.

Reading this makes me remember back to the 1980's District 11 meetings when Dianne Cooper's territory was being invaded by Gerry's crew jumping calls there in Bellows Falls and Rockingham, and the heated remarks between the two companies over this petty turf war. I was just a kid at the time and new to EMS on a volunteer ambulance service. What a great show that was and what a meaningful lesson in the inner dealings of these organizations. That was when I first learned about how Vermont EMS showed favoritism to certain companies and left others hanging in the breeze. To any of you folks out there in Reformer Land who are Cooper Ambulance, ex-employees, I had the greatest respect for you.

Amidst all the mudslinging I would like to send out my heartfelt thanks to both the Lefevre family and ambulance service. I have had dealings on many levels over the last thirty plus years with them. Most recently, the care and compassion used in caring for my ailing Grandmother during her last months of life. They provided her and my daughter the help needed to carry her up and down the stairs to the vehicle without any hesitation. When she was no longer able to ride in the car, they delivered her to and from Keene in the ambulance. I believe that the Lefevre family has, over the years, been devoted and unselfish in providing for the community. Please take care and remember back to all the times they were there when we needed them…maybe, we could return the favor by supporting the Lefevre family now?

I would like to thank Ted for remembering the former Cooper employees who were there when Doc Densmore retired and Diane took over way back in 1978. Those were fun years and where I started by 30+ year (and still going) EMS career. Although there were many who came behind us, Diane ran a quality service with dedicated, selfless staff members; Scott, Frank, Tom, Karen, Lori, Carolyn, Peter, Kathy, Brent (RIP) and I am sure many, many others from that era whom I am forgetting. This is not to say that Gerry's service was in any way bad or that they delivered sub-quality patient care. But the EMS world has changed and continues to change, and unfortunately it would appear that Lefevre's was the victim of bad economics, bad timing and perhaps some bad advice/management from the people within. It is time to move on...GCA provides an excellent service, having worked with them for a number of years before moving to Massachusetts. Losing a business is an emotional one, particularly when that business had provided a needed service for many years; but it is time for people to put their emotions in their pockets. Remember, when you pick up that phone and call for help, someone will come, and someone will know what to do, regardless of whom they work for. Whatever politics are/were involved in Lefevre's demise, unfortunately, it is everywhere you go. "All politics is local" as the late Tip O'Neil once quoted. So before closing this debate, let me post this question; when your spouse, child, loved one, friend or even you are in need of immediate medical attention, and yes, sometimes it is life-saving, would you rather be pound foolish and throw them in your car and race at breakneck speed to a hospital, endangering yourself, the person in the car and everyone else on the road and have that person be in worse shape without proper emergent medical care, or would you pick up the phone and get someone who knows what to do to sustain the life or stabilize the injury and transport them safely? Your choice, you make the call.
