Is the dog's owner the owner of Uno Chicago Grill in Lexington?
Uno is an unusual name for a dog.
I guess thay could have just called it "One".

I haven't heard anything except local news. I was just going by the fact everyone is saying "local dog wins".

Based on the following WISTV article it IS South Carolina.

NEW YORK (WIS/AP)- A South Carolina dog charmed the crowd and judges at the Westminster Dog Show, winning "Best in Show" Tuesday night.

"Uno" is a beagle from Columbia.

The three-year-old Beagle made history at the Westminster Kennel Club show, becoming the first of his breed ever to win the top prize.

He was clearly the fan favorite and got a standing ovation from the sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden.

Uno became numero uno by beating out two poodles, a Sealyham terrier, a Weimaraner, an Australian shepherd and an Akita. He celebrated by jumping on his handler, baying and chewing on the microphones of reporters who tried to interview his winning crew.

Handler Aaron Wilkerson calls Uno a "people's dog" and a "merry little hound."

Just watched a re-run of the show. Lots of gorgeous dogs...it would be hard to decide.

Well, it seems one of the owners is from our Columbia, MO, but that Uno lives with his handler in Columbia, SC, so both Columbia's have ties to the cute little fellow.:o)
