They will get it, I have not seen one thing any department has requested that the voters have not approved. It is no wonder the taxes are so high
Go ahead vote no

As the Briggs vote demonstrated, we need not fear investing in our schools. We now have the votes and the inspired leadership to get them to show up on election day!

Let's see how well you are educated.
1. Who was the first president?
2. What is the sum of 2+2?
3. Who created the Polio vaccine?
Congratulations you just won 28 million dollars.

There is no need to vote for this-it is a done deal.

The low voter turnout is one of the reasons the Briggs campaign won. Another is that Ashburnham has waited so long to replace this building that now the building is practically condemned. By the time they settle on the next budget it will be so high that a lot of the elderly will lose their homes, people will be leaving in droves, and the rest of us will have to make up for the loss in tax revenue. Wakeup and set a budget that all can live with and live within your means!

"The district pays $8,566 yearly for each student, which is deemed low compared to the statewide average of $12,000 per student, Zapantis said."

Those are the minimum per pupil expenditures as set out by the State's Net School Spending requirements, NOT what the district actually spends.....I was able to understand that and I watched it on TV

Westminster is just going to have to pay their fair share, just like Ashburnham has and will continue to do. As far as an increase in the budget, not happening. The state aid has been cut by 7% to the towns by Deval, the schools have not been cut by him. So where do you think the town is going to get a 2.77% increase to give to the schools. The school needs to cut their budget, lets take a look at the teachers healthplan.why are they paying $5 co pay when most of us are at a $20? That is where they need to go with this not back to the taxpayer!

Mr. Zapantis makes a lot of dough and spends a lot of dough. Unfortunately for us the money he makes he keeps and the money he spends is ours. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he even lives in our district.

Just because someone dosn't live in the town they govern it doesn't mean they can't do the job. Obama wasn't born in Washington D.C. but he is the best President we've had in a long long time.

I don't think anyone said that. The point I was making was that when he "lobbies" for increased school expenditures and the subsequent tax increases he doesn't live in the town(s) where the taxes are increasing. And since we have "australian ballot" in this country, we will never kknow how he votes in his home district. Incidentally, the definition of a "Good Job" could lend itself to a totally new thread for either Mr. Zapantis or Mr. Obama.

In regards to post #11, you are misinformed about the copays the teachers have. In July 2008, all copays went up(RX, ER, Dr Visits, MRI/PET/CAT scans).

what did it go up to 10 bucks. The schools want an increase, they need to cut their budgets, INCLUDING their healthcare, that is no mistake!!!!!
