Why is anybody surprised, Until has proven time and time again that they can do what they want, when they want.

Alot of elected officials will do a soap box speech for votes, but Until has so many people in their pockets at all levels of government, they are untouchable.

Make sure you have generators for this winter, nothing has changed other than smoke and mirrors

That's for sure. It is obvious. Otherwise, they would have been run out of town LONG ago. GET RID OF UNITIL! As long as they supply utilities to Fitchburg, we will never attract new business.

Unitil OWNS this city. They will continue to cheat us until we can get them removed. Nobody can touch them and they know it. I am so envious that Lunenburg has gotten the ball rolling to remove them from their town.

They are bumping heads because they are both the same! Both sides feel that they can do what they want when they want!

I have been suggesting for Fitchburg to make a move towards their own electric company but to no avail. We have many poles in Fitchburg that have been reported to Unitil and will fall this year. They do NO maintenance work at all!

Lunenburg resident Mrs.Clark had a lot of resilence as she should run for Mayor! We need more people around this area like Mrs. Clark. People need to stick together. A lot of people agree with efforts for our own municipality but few stop to sign petitions! We need to fill petition sheets up to be heard loudly!

People need to register to vote. I feel that Fitchburg needs to concentrate on registering every citizen to vote. It is simple, visit city hall and ask for the registration card, it is simple. It is time to be heard!

Fitchburg is Unitils biggest customer base. Our local businesses have been speaking up and requesting help concerning their electric rates! They deserve to have a city leader standing with them. A leader who will fight for their interests!

These business owners have been requesting the assistance of the city for years to no avail! It is time that a leader stands up for them and STAYS by their side until their gripes are resolved!

The residents of Fitchburg have sacrificed with no lights for two years now. No leader has recognized this fact nor spoke directly to the Fitchburg community in reference to their sacrifices!

There have been many accidents, pedestrians hit and muggings in these dark areas! I believe that the residents deserve better communications and the city needs to react to the publics needs and not wait until someone is killed in order to turn the lights back on! There have been hundreds or near misses on dark main rds!

We have been hearing promises and never any results. No leader in Fitchburg has followed through with anything! The citizens of Fitchburg count! They have been sacrificing with no lights!

And enough money is given to the running of the fpd! Things should be better than what the citizens are recieving!Half measures avail nothing! Nothing has changed within the fpd as the clique still runs this city!

I agree. Mrs. Clark is a great advocat for lunenburg. They are trying to oust unitil. Fitchburg is doing nothing. They keep raising our taxes, but what do we see in return... Nothing. Fifth mass turnpike still full of trash, where is the money from the lights that were shut off. O yea someones pocket or salary (mayor wong). There is so much money going into city hall that it is miss managed. I can't wait for the market to turn so I can move out of this town.

Watch this year be a repeat of 2008 with the ice storm it would be our luck, I was one of those lucky ones that went 14 days with no power. They really need to get rid of them. Wish Nat'l Grid could just take over.

"City Council Chairman Stephen Hay made a motion to not take action on a proposal from Unitil to install three utility poles south of Rindge Road for a new residence being constructed in the area."

Not allowing three poles and taking a local builder or homeowner hostage that's all they can muster to stand up to Unitil. This will show them.

Rather than hiring back one on my former employees: With a 6.2% dividend, I am buying 1000 more shares of Unitil (UTL) with the Bush tax break I am going to still be getting next year; and since I don't really need the income I will probably just leave it all to my kids tax free because I will no longer have to pay an estate tax. How's your Christmas?

Hay and the Council fell into Wong's trap and did the dirty work for her. Pathetic clowns. Holding Unitil hostage, laughable. Word has it the mayor's crony the McNutt sent an email to the council. This is the result.
