The realty side of the business has proven themselves time and again to be CHEAP and not interested in the survival of the small businesses that have tried to thrive in that broken down pathetic excuse of a plaza. Greg has proven that they only care about the almighty dollar and don't stand behind their word.

one hundred % agree with really except for the fact that the whole company's like that they charge 30-57%more than any other hardware store and don`t treat their employees with respect unless your family ,dot should look at log books

Retail hardware is certainly not the easiest path to making a living. The Aubuchon family should be commended on keeping their company competitive and keeping jobs in New England, not derided. The previous couple posts sound like individuals with axes to grind.

I agree, I grew up with several Aubuchon's and Moran's and most are good hard working people. They fill a nitch, if you need something they always have it. It may cost a little more, sometimes not but you won't have to drive 10-15 miles to the nearest Home depot or lowes.

I shop at Aubuchon because I like to support LOCAL Business. All of these big BOX STORES are not worth going into. When I go into Aubuchon Store, I am greeted and directed to the item I want. I NEVER CHECK THE PRICE AND COMPARE IT TO THE BIG BOX STORE. Bravo, Marcus and all the Family.

A large family company - not a franchise - is unheard of these days. Congratulations to them.

Their are axes to grind...with the REALTY side that is run by one MR. GREG MORAN! His smug and dismissive attitude with taking care of the property at Parkhill Plaza is a shame to all that he is "supposed" to represent. They want classy businesses to bring class to there plaza...but what do they give? No returned phone calls? Hiring awful workers that HE is already in a lawsuit with to do MORE crappy work that HE won't back in the end for a building in dire need of updating and pretend that he has been in contact the ENTIRE time! I am not saying and did not say that the Aubuchon Family is dishonest..just unfortunately some of the "family" they let lead the way HAS been!

William was the hottest of the hot (OK-balding a wee bit), but Marcus is the supreme Stud Muffin. Great choice.

I won't mention how awful your spelling or grammar is...or the fact that I have no idea what you're talking about because your writing is so horribly bad and hard to follow... but I will say that I just love Aubuchon Hardware. I'm a single woman who owns my own home and I can't tell you how many times I've gone to Aubuchon when I needed help or advice and they have always helped me to get exactly what I need. Going to Home Depot or Lowe's is just too difficult for me most of the time. I need to get in quick and get help with what I need and then to get out and on my way. Do I pay a little more? Sometimes, but time is money, and I really value the customer service that I get at Aubuchon. How cool is it to have a family run local business doing so well in our area after all these years and in this economy? Congrats Aubuchon Hardware! Keep up the good work!!!!

It should be pronounced Moron and Aw-bitchen and not Moran and Aubuchon and no, I am not a disgruntled ex-employee. The entire family are as dumb as rocks and I went to school with a few of the younger idiots and they were complete wimps and a holes. Marcus III may be the dumbest of the bunch and they are successful because of excellent employees and even better middle management. Ask Marcus III why he always got his ass kicked by Teddy and Rob and had to have a co. escort take him home from school even as a senior. Great story and I am sure that he won't tell the grandkids.

Well Tony A, this isn't high school and some people grow up. You'll understand when you grow up.
I've compared prices to some of the big box stores and in some cases, Aubuchons is cheaper. You can't beat the customer service, they're knowledgeable and ALWAYS friendly.
Congrats to all the family members for keeping a family run business alive and well in todays market.
I've known some of the family members for years. They are all great people and would give you the shirt off their backs if you asked.

Tony A, Really? You are how old? I love how people have nothing better to do then to go on the Sentinel website and bash other people. The article is for Marcus Jr getting a promotion that he has worked very hard for, but yet some feel the need to criticize on matters that were not even discussed in the article. Whatever!! Congratulations Marcus!

Greg has proven that they only care about the almighty dollar and don't stand behind their word. Absolutely, the roofs were all leaking at the stores and they did nothing to fix them. The actually raised the rents during the recession. They didn't lower them even as businesses informed them that they will leave if they did not get a rent reduction. The smaller stores were paying $2500-$3000 a month for rent so they left. They left the Rendezvous to rot away. Many companies offered to rent it but the Aubochon's wanted the companies to rehab it with their own money. The Rendezvous suffered broken pipes and severe water damage, it would need a total overhaul and renovation. The rumour is that the Aubochon's collected on the insurance from the Rendezvous amd now sit on it using it as a business loss and tax break. The plaza stores that are vacant are also used to show a loss of profit during tax time. It is too bad you would think that the owner's would show some compassion for their rentors during a recession but instead it shows the as greedy. Aubuchon has always been known as the emergency hardware store that will have everything in stock. The prices are 2-3 times as much as the big chain stores but that is what they base their reputation on. So I cannot bust their prices because they do carry most items if you need it within a short driving distance and within a short time for an emergency situation. But it does make you cringe when you know you can purchase the same item for 2/3rds less at Home Depot the only drawback will be if the item is in stock, the driving distance and time.

I said nothing about the store. I said the Realty side of the family. I worked at a family run business at Parkhill and my issue which I stated was with Greg and him giving the Aubuchon Family a bad name with his poor ethics and business practices. When you say you won't mention my awful spelling or grammar...you should have kept it that way.
