How do you figure that an Assistant district attorney for 18 months could possibly qualify to run a 600 person sheriffs dept? Please, that's absurd.

Tell me how Obama is qualified to be the president or Patrick is qualified to be the governor? Tell me how Foley, a system cheat, is qualified to run a prison?

Google him please, Foley's super qualified. Lew completely unqualified, the facts don't lie. Thanks for bringing it up.

There seems to be truth to the rumors that Silly Lew has struck deals with Glodis and Bove to stay on and run the place while he furthers his political career. More of the same....

Please dispute this if you can, it's disturbing to say the least.

I would say 30 years on the SP ending with Col. the top job, managing 3000 employees,$250million budget. He was also a former corrections officer. Like it or not his pension is totally legal. What does Lew have for experience? nothing. A state rep, maybe he had a small staff of 3-5 people. A former ADA, big deal. Foley actually has more experience as a corrections officer than Scot Bove does. Bove never spent a day in the blocks. I doubt Lew ever visited the jail. Also some of the changes Lew is proposing will never work. He wants the jail to go green, impossible, the old part of the jail is 40 years old made of solid concrete, the mods are 20 years old and have a life span of 25. The only way to make the jail green is build a new one, I'm sure the taxpayers would love to pay for that. Deporting illegals? the sheriff does not have that power, thats a federal issue. The Sheriffs job is to hold inmates for the courts. Charging inmates a fee has been brought up many times before and because of organizations such as the ACLU the idea never went any where. If you think that Foley doesn't have the qualifications to run the jail then you must be one of those "out of touch" voters that John Kerry was talking about

Your response is the exact reason why I am voting for Lew, the old political machine at play. "some of the changes Lew is proposing will never work", "...has been brought up many times before and because of organizations such as the ACLU the idea never went any where." When are people like you going to learn, we want a CHANGE, we don't want the same old thing run the same old way. You are supporting the candidate that epitomizes the "Old Boy Network" and the Political Machine. I am too disabled to run the State Police from behind a desk so I will be the Sheriff instead. "Why change things in a system that works?" That is the problem, for too long it has been about political favors and appointments, too many people are making WAY TOO MUCH money for doing nothing and those that are working their butts off are receiving nothing, and you want to keep that system. Lew will bring a change and a new energy and innovation to the Office. He will reward those that work hard and get rid of those political appointees that are just looking for an easy buck.

So a vote for Foley is too keep the old political system in place and a vote for Lew is for change.

I will vote for Lew thank you very much!!!

A vote for Lew is to keep the old system in place, because the brass at the jail are backing LEW!

So keep the lies fresh dreamboat and at least be original.

Vote for whom ever you want. It's obvious you know nothing about the jail. I worked there for over 15 years. The "change" that Lew is talking about is just that "talk". Everybody is always talking about "change" well how is he going make all these so called changes, he doesn't say how he's going to do it, why? because he can't. People thought Glodis was going to make changes, he did, he got rid of the many incompatant Flynn hacks and replaced them with his own incompatant hacks. I can't vote in worcester county as I don't live in the area anymore and I don't know either Foley or Lew. But I know many SP troopers and I worked at the jail while he was running the SP (Foley) and he was highly respected by both the troopers he managed, other police officers, DA's and politians. who ever is elected sheriff, the new sheriff will have neither the power or resources to make the changes he has been talking about. If anyone is going to make the the changes the jail needs it will be Foley. I know many current CO's that know the if Lew gets elected things will stay the same or get worse. And all this talk about Lew getting support from Glodis and Bove, maybe true, Bove's days as a Deputy will be over and Glodis needs a job now that his political career is over, I'm sure Foley has no use for him.

@big bird, could you please clarify your comment, what newspaper article quotes Lew statinf he is keeping Glodis on the payroll? As for Bove, doesn't he already work in the system?

By keeping Glodis, Bove and the current command staff in place how does Lew keep his promise of change? This just reaffirms the stepping stone theory.

He's not Silly enough to put it in writing, he is a personal injury lawyer. However he was asked just yesterday and he wouldn't and couldn't deny it, for me that's a yes. The bottom line is this guy just doesn't have what it takes, all he has is spin.

If it's true that Lew sold out to Goldis and it's been confirmed by several sources inside the jail, it shows you his desperation. It always shows that he'll do anything to further his political career and that's sad.

So I am just to believe you that he sold out to Glodis, oh that is right the post above this one says it is going around the jail that he sold out as well. That is all reliable sources, I will change my vote now. All you Foley supporters are trying so hard to get your man elected that your lies are coming back to bite you. Good Luck on election day.

We just have to ask lew in front of a crowd if he made this promise, that should settle it. Tom should ask him at the debate, then we could see the lawyer squirm.
