It's really a personal responsibility issue. You're mewling that you don't want healthcare covering other people, but that it most decidedly should be extended to you at a price you deem suitable to cover the health concerns that have arisen out of your own bad habits.
It's that when you express a standard you expect others to hold themselves to, they'll think you a hypocrite when you explain why the same standards shouldn't be applied to yourself.
You see, government doesn't have any money. They don't produce a product or sellable service. Therefore, if government gives you a loaf of bread, they have to take that bread away from somebody else, somebody else that earned that bread.
Socialism is about taking from producers and giving to the non-producers. So when the producers are robbed of what is rightly theirs, don't say "it's your responsibility" to pony up even more.
