Yeah Pops, van wert is in the minor leagues compared to Canton. I give Canton a 3.5 stars out of 5 on creativity. He can come up with a plethora of ways to explain how he deserves what other people earn. Van Wert has no creativity at all let alone intelligence when making an argument.

Canton has probably actually read Alinskys Rules for Radicals. Credit is earned where credit is due. No shared credit for Van Wert...... its not like this is a socialist blog.... HAAAA.

Why don't you go ahead and explain, being so clever and all, why climate changes in the past somehow nullify any current scientific data on the subject, that overwhelmingly points to climate change happening and being caused by man's industrialization. Hey, thanks for playing though.
Which scientific data do you want me to explain? The data that was lied about, or the real data that says there's no global warming?

More and more scientists are breaking from the global warming cult. It's a hoax perpetrated by liberals who want to use agencies like the EPA to control the masses.

You don't strike me as a bright person, but surely even you have noticed that the "scientists" have gradually changed the name from "global warming" to "climate change". So now, any weather phenomenon whatsoever -- tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, drowning polar bears, or ice breakers trapped in the ice -- can be blamed on everything from incandescent light bulbs to cow farts.

All these environmentalists are the same way. They're worried about this and worried about that with the environment. Yet none of them take public transportation or ride bikes, none of them have a windmill or solar panels on their house, few of them have an electric car outside of California because they are so much more expensive than a standard gasoline vehicle. And they are polluting this planet no less than we are.
Well said....

Liberal mouth pieces love to complain about global warming just before they step on to their private jet to go home to 1 of their 10,000 square foot houses.(Al- let me sell you some imaginary carbon offset options- Gore)

As for their kool aid drinking followers, they complain, fill up their tanks, turn up the heat when it's cold and don't spend a dime to back up their misguided beliefs......

Frankly you are fairly cliche, kind of like a sort of low rent imitation of an actual reader of Alinsky.

Then let me ask: where is this grid of his where he is able to supply all the electricity for his home? How many years of this grid investment will it take him to break even or realize a profit?
I didn't say that I agree with his timetable but I am watching his progress. But he has been off of the grid for months (he does use nat gas for hot water) but runs the stove, lights, TV, & more from solar & rechargeable batteries 24/7 even this time of year. Federal law says that an electric company MUST buy power from such & any other sources when it is offered to the power company. They install a 'reverse power meter' at their expense. IF you have a backyard windmill, or a water wheel on a river or creek or whatever, they are compelled by law to buy your power output.
As I see it, solar power is not cost effective in this day & age. But after the initial cost, my son gets NO power bill ever.
Of course any law is subject to be changed.

I wouldn't put any bets on the Republican Party either since it was founded on Progressivism and they seem to be going back to their roots and originally the Communist are the ones who supported Lincoln and the Republicans during the time of lincoln which even the Communist in 1920's knew that and why the image of lincoln was used in their backdrop on their stage at the 20th anniversary meeting of the communist party and also remember the republican party dominated the Progressive era of the 20th century.

I'm 50 years old, and I haven't voted for a Democrat since my early 20's. However, I do see conservative values in Strickland such as the Castle Doctrine, CCW's, and the ability to possess a loaded firearm in your vehicle. He signed all bills related to this movement.
As reported by the news, we now have a record in frying the murderers that dwell in our prison system; eight so far. In my opinion, Kasich's devout religious values may hamper this advancement. I say, we should have somebody frying every single day in Ohio.
In spite of Kasich's claim that he is a pro-gun advocate, he did sign legislation banning assault weapons. On the other hand, Strickland signed bills taxing our hospitals, and created legislation that prohibited insurance companies from denying people with preexisting conditions from getting insurance which increases our healthcare premiums in Ohio.
I don't know. I'm still undecided. Strickland has done little for our state in regards to attracting jobs. Our unemployment rate is still above national average. But I do think of him when I strap on my gun, and know I have the legal right to defend myself because of Strickland.
I will probably remain undecided right up to the point I go to the voting booth. I am a conservative Republican, but it's hard to turn my back on somebody who promotes some conservative values regardless of his party.
When I think of Kasich, there are some things I just can't get out of my mind... Ohio Tax Payers furnish a beautiful Mansion for the Governor. Thousands of Dollars are paid for care and upkeep of the mansion. Kasich chose to live in his own home. Tax Payers are Paying for the care and upkeep of his home, installing a New Security System and paying his wife to clean a home she should be taking care of anyways. Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with him living in his home. I just don't think Tax Payers should pay for it and take care of it. It was his choice. He could have moved into the Furnished Mansion. Why should Tax Dollars have to pay twice? There are so many places those Tax Dollars are needed

Funding [edit]
While Ontario receives transfer payments from the federal government of Canada to partially fund health care, OHIP is also supported by general provincial tax revenues and premiums (taxes) paid by employers and individuals. Employers are charged a payroll health care tax (with an exemption for small businesses) and residents of the province pay a health premium (introduced in 2004) as part of their income taxes.
The Ontario Health Premium (OHP) is a component of Ontario's Personal Income Tax system. The OHP is based on taxable income for a taxation year. As of May 2010, an Ontario resident with taxable income (i.e. income after subtracting allowable deductions) of $21,000 pays $60 per year. With taxable income of $22,000, the premium doubles to $120; with taxable income of $23,000, the premium is $180; with taxable income of $24,000, the premium is $240. The premium increases at a decreasing rate thereafter for taxable incomes up to $200,600, at which point the maximum premium of $900 is reached.[1]

And no, I don't buy into any of that nonsense they knew what this or that was hundreds of thousands of years ago.
I see. After asking for evidence, you simply reject the physical evidence, and call it "nonsense." Is that like when a small child puts their fingers in their ears and says "LA LA LA" in an attempt to avoid hearing something?

Some science is very difficult to understand. This is not. Ice samples from earlier eras are analyzed for their carbon dioxide content. Exactly what part of this process do you think is nonsense? The retrieving of ice cores from Antarctica? The chemical analysis used to reveal the amount of carbon dioxide in the samples?

I'm going to post a link that explains this process in simple terms. Simple enough that you could understand it, if you chose to. But I'm pretty certain that you care more about being faithful to your political views than trying to understand the truth about our changing world.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_core

"An ice core is a core sample that is typically removed from an ice sheet, most commonly from the polar ice caps of Antarctica, Greenland or from high mountain glaciers elsewhere. As the ice forms from the incremental build up of annual layers of snow, lower layers are older than upper, and an ice core contains ice formed over a range of years. The properties of the ice and the recrystallized inclusions within the ice can then be used to reconstruct a climatic record over the age range of the core, normally through isotopic analysis. This enables the reconstruction of local temperature records and the history of atmospheric composition.
...

The length of the record depends on the depth of the ice core and varies from a few years up to 800 kyr (800,000 years) for the EPICA core. The time resolution (i.e. the shortest time period which can be accurately distinguished) depends on the amount of annual snowfall, and reduces with depth as the ice compacts under the weight of layers accumulating on top of it. Upper layers of ice in a core correspond to a single year or sometimes a single season. Deeper into the ice the layers thin and annual layers become indistinguishable.

An ice core from the right site can be used to reconstruct an uninterrupted and detailed climate record extending over hundreds of thousands of years, providing information on a wide variety of aspects of climate at each point in time. It is the simultaneity of these properties recorded in the ice that makes ice cores such a powerful tool in paleoclimate research."
