Enough is enough. Enough with the raising of property taxes. I contribute enough. It's time for someone else to contribute. You see signage all over the place that attacks our emotions for the kids. The signage basically says "don't let the kids suffer". The makers of this propaganda should turn the signage around and look at other and not just innocent people.

It is not strictly the residents responsibility to fund the schools and to make them nice. I have a couple of things that people may not be aware of.

1. Ohio has ruled that it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL for the county to take our property taxes to fund schools. Why must we continue to vote for something that is unconstitutional? Why must our politicians continue to endorse something that is unconstitutional?

2. Where is the creativity? All that our politicians have to do is to think outside of the box. The Browns just received some free money from First Energy. How? Simply renaming the stadium. It's FREE money. Other places have done it. When will North Ridgeville do something out of the ordinary.

3. How about a sin tax for lorain county??? Cuyahoga county did it. A few pennies on cigarette and alcohol sales built a large portion of downtown Cleveland. It is basically FREE money. People didn't stop smoking or drinking as a result.

Again, why are my property taxes at risk of going up when there are other solutions??

My question is why vote yes? Constantly voting yes will say that it is ok to constantly tax the citizens. The school board should b creative and find new sources of money. Yes, times are dire for some of the structures, but the School Board must find a solution instead of the same old guilt that they have been doing for years. They should make the necessary cuts. Every business in America has to find new sources of money, but what has the school board done to come up with new avenues for money?? Oh I know.....a new tax levy. It is time for the school board to do their job and abide by the laws they promised to do (its unconstitutional to use property taxes to fund schools).

I hear people say support the schools and vote Yes for the latest school levy. However, a no vote does not by any means say that you do not support the kids or the schools or the city. I'm voting no. My no vote means that due to a lack of planning and a poorly run school district that I cannot just give more money away. My no vote means that it is time for the school board to do their job and to run an efficient business. My no vote means that it is time for the school board look into the future and plan accordingly.

It is time that the NORTH RIDGEVILLE SCHOOL BOARD is held accountable for their failed business planning and not innocent citizens.
