There are 1 comment on the WKYC-TV Cleveland story from Oct 8, 2007, titled Mayor Jackson: I'm not 'picking a fight' over the Avon interchange; Web extended interview. In it, WKYC-TV Cleveland reports that:
“We cannot continue to talk about regionalism and anti-sprawl. We're creating capacity where there is no additional demand. We can't assume it's not gonna have a negative impact on somebody. It is.”
But Mayor Jackson, the County Commissioners, and Bay Village Mayor Deborah Sutherland are demanding the city of Avon agree to a revenue-sharing plan in exchange for their support for the project. via WKYC-TV Cleveland

Jackson thinks urban sprawl is Cleveland's problem. The problems go much deeper than that. I live in the suburbs and if I had the choice between moving downtown of moving away then I would leave the area all together. That's not Avon's fault and stealing a few $ from Avon won't do anything to help the city of Cleveland.
