I hope someone consults DA Rice on this so the CEO can get some help. After all, he must need some job counseling and stuff, he only breaks the law because he isn't Super CEO of his firm. He must just need a better job and some opportunities and then he'll stop breaking the law.
Right?
RIGHT??
Uh, wrong. I don't like Rice, but her record on this particular issue is that if this case were in her jurisdiction, the defendant might be charged with murder.

Your brain meter is busted, El Tardo. I get it, you were being sarcastic- making a crack about her recent drug program. All very clear, but what you missed, genius, is that despite that drug program, in a case that was heavily reported on in Newsday, Rice prosecuted a drunk driver who caused a fatal accident for murder. You're an idiot.

I know that, genius. Part of my major problem with her "drug program" is that she's applying the law unevenly in order to raise funds.

DWI is a crime committed by people who are more likely to be able to pay outrageous fines and surrender valuable property.

Street level drug dealers don't have legitimate income or assets so its much harder to line the county coffers. The result? The middle class gets dicked again, every which way.

We have to live among these career low-lives who are allowed to stay on the street, we have to fund the BS programs these junkies, thieves and felons go to instead of going to jail, we have to live in fear that one honest mistake could cost us our freedom, our meager possessions and any remaining chance that we might get to enjoy our time with whatever joy we may be able to scrape together living in this over-taxed, over-assessed pile of junk. And DA Rice gets to walk away with some pandered-to votes from MADD and SADD and the "hearts" and "minds" of the community of Hempstead for "partnering" with them.

My brain is just fine, numbnuts, you just didn't get the joke. You just haven't realized it yet: the joke is on US.

You make no sense. And you're fear of being caught driving drunk and losing all your possessions reveals your true self, i.e., a dirtbag.
